Dunning said it at the break. OSU just out dug Stanford when the brava were playing well.

Stanford is the number one team in the country but to me they seem to lose focus sometimes. They need to play tough all the time. I believe they have the talent to sweep nearly every team in the country but they like to play down to the level of their competition. Really frustrating.

Unless the Ducks beat them Stanford will still be number 1. They still have more top team wins than UW but the card still has to to LA.

Having seen Kelsey Humphreys play multiple times in the past, it was just unfortunate that she came to Stanford with a setter as good as Bugg ahead of her. Kelsey would start at many top teams around the country. And this girl is athletic, she can play as an Opposite as well. Even in the Junior World Championships before she was the starting Opposite and she was fun to watch. Lutz was on that team as well as a starting MB. I wish Dunning would have redshirted her last year to save at least a year of eligibility ... though it was a bit risky with Bugg as the only setter.

Haven't checked the stats but I suspect OSU outblocked the Card at least until game 4.

OSU played well in set two, but Stanford must have made what I would call 5 "dumb" errors ... serving into the net on match point was the worst one. In set 3 give credit to the OSU lefty with the nasty floater who had the BIG run, but Stanford had a big lead and let it get away and almost lost that set too.

If Stanford keeps playing like this, UW will sweep them with each sets not reaching 15. Man, Stanford is just inconsistent. How about the #1 team in the nation lost 6 consecutive points? That's just not good. I really fear for Stanford in that match. That match will either be an amazing game that goes 3-2 by either team or a sweep by Washington. I think the arrival of Hayley Hodsun next year will really help the cardinal on the left side.

She's played in a few matches and held up nicely. I don't know any of their DS/L that will be coming in next year

Dunning isn't even using Benjamin as a DS anymore ... they have a DS recruit (Halland McKenna) who probably plays the L position in 2015

Third set, thank you Morgan.
Howard, master of the tip.
I predict the winning streak ends on Sunday.
