Bacterial meningitis is a scary thing. My best wishes to the Cal women's basketball team and to her family in Spokane, Washington in dealing with this tragedy.

Very scary. Per UC Health Service, she was on the bench last Fri nite at Cal vs Stanford match. No court time. Passed away very early Mon. am. Hardly more than 2 days later.
Cal team and Stanford team received antibiotics asap Mon aft. Men's bball team cleared for travel to LA this weekend. So far no other cases. We sure hope not!

I would like to send my heart out to the family, friends and everyone involved with this young lady.
It's just heartbreaking to hear of someone so young to lose their life to something like this.
Best wishes to the family and friends.

I started attending Cal women's basketball games this season. My first one was before the Cal-Michigan NCAA VB match. I hadn't seen this young woman play much, but I'm sure the whole team is in shock that someone so young and fit could be struck down so quickly by an unknown illness.

Wow, that is really sad news. So sorry to hear that. Prayers go out to her family and friends and the Cal Bears.
