Hey Sweetie... hahaha always with the questions, huh? The scoring system is quite easy...it's figured on the point spread, whether they play an overtime or not, it doesn't matter. How many points from the actual game compared to your scores. If this is confusing to you...GOOD! It won't be easy to win one of my Veteran California/Hawaiian shirts...much like the NCAA, the T.V.P. board of directors will have the final say. Live with it. ;D

Hey
I'll keep this as short and sweet as possible...
Pepp over Lewis 3-1
30-27, 30-26, 28-30, 30-24
I really think Lewis will take a game only due to history. Going back more years than I can count, except for Ohio State 2001, a MIVA team has taken a game or 2 in every Semi-Final. Otherwise Lewis maxed out vs. Loyola. Elsea and Miller will find Pepp's block a wee bit better than Loyola.
BYU over Penn State 3-1
30-27, 27-30, 30-26, 30-28
Tom Peterson may be the best coach in the game. The last year he coached a men's team before this years BYU? Try the 1994 Nat'l Champ Penn St. Think he doesn't have something to prove to former assistant Mark Pavlik? I say he wins this good chess match.
Pepp over BYU in the Finals 3-0
30-28, 30-25, 30-24
BYU swept the regular season 2-1. As good as they are, I can't see them making it 3-1. Keenan, Rooney, and Winters all click at once and it's curtains for the Cougars.
As always, good luck to all!

Incidentally, Cougfan was the ONLY fan who chose the final 4 participants correctly on a thread about a month ago...BYU, Pep, Lewis, and Penn State. I wonder WHO Cougfan picks to win...could it be BYU?

so vb, what happens since no one correctly predicted both matches? cause i had pepp-byu in the final, and obviously pepp isn't in the final, and i had them to win.
damn! i really wanted to win just ONCE this season. closest i came was second.

Interesting!! everyone predicted that pepperdine will defeat lewis in the semifinal. sorry for all of you because pepperdine got slammed.. .. WoW, it was a great game.. for all of you who loves to talk trash about MIVA or EIVA teams can finally shut up. I mean how ridiculous can everyone get, trying to come up with a false or irrelavant information so that all of you can trash MIVA or EIVA teams.. SInce Lewis defeated Pepperdine in the semifinals, I hope that MIVA and EIVA teams can gain a little respect.. ..
For Hawaii.. Good luck next year... GO WARRIORS

They get a LITTLE respect from me... i still have a problem with how easy the EIVA and MIVA conference tournaments are...
...and just because they beat pepperdine doesn't necessarily mean they are the top 2 teams in the country. They had a good night no doubt, and i think they have good chances tomorrow night if they were to play the same... but I'm still skeptical to admit that they are one of the top 2 teams in the country... BYU is still the team to beat... they've won 4 TOUGH playoff matches in a row... Lewis has won 2...

Hey Tig fan,
I noticed your beloved Tigers only have 9 wins over top15 teams. Even a blind squirrel find a nut once in a while!
Lewis has 15 , BYU has 15, PEPP had 16 and PSU had 7(with limited opportunities)
Yes they are athe best teams...or as close as ever.
And anyway when has there ever been in Basketball (for example the best teams in the Final 4) When you have playoffs and league championship , some good teams are going to left behind. Maybe they weren't good enough.
Whoever wins WILL be the best team this year.
Every team in the Final 4 had at least 5 losses.

I wasn't talking about my tigers...i was more or less referring to Hawaii...who was much better than both PSU and Lewis... and had many top 15 wins...
...FYI...my tigers beat 3 of the 4 teams in the final 4... and they didn't play the other... so I'm quite sure my tigers would have been fine in the final 4.

I wasn't talking about my tigers...i was more or less referring to Hawaii...who was much better than both PSU and Lewis... and had many top 15 wins... I will agree with Tigfan for a change. The MPSF tournament is always tough, More so than the EIVA and MIVA tournaments. Although Hawai'i isn't in the final four, I certainly believe they are one of the top four teams in the Country. Having said that, I am aware of how the National Champion is determined. Lewis and Penn St. both earned their right to be in the final four as conference Champions, same goes for BYU, and Pepperdine was the obvious choice as the at large. Unfortunately for us Hawai'i got left out, but that's the way it is with the current format. Lewis proved they belong with a stunning victory against a Pepperdine team that was ranked number one for most of the season. Penn St played with BYU as they did earlier in the season, neither of the National semi matches were the routs that many of us expected, or may have hoped for . Bottom line is that Whomever wins will have earned their title, and should be considered by all as the best team in the Country.
