No respect? What did you expect? Did you think just because they made it to the final 4, they should be ranked 4th in the country? They got a lot of respect. They weren't even ranked and not receiving votes and jumped up all the way to 13th, that is moving over 20 spots. Nebraska-Kearney lost to Southwest Minnesota State, who made it to the finals, in 5 in the first round. If UAFS were in either one of those two conferences (Northern Sun, MIAA), they wouldn't even have made it to the NCAA Tournament. No, I do not think that "...just because they made it to the final 4, they should be ranked 4th in the country?" However, I do think that there is some logic behind the belief that if you beat a team, that is some evidence that you are better than that team. Do you believe it logical to argue that "Well, yeah, you beat Colorado Mesa and you beat Colorado Mines, but that is not evidence that you are better than those teams?" What evidence would you cite that right now those teams are better? Also, arguing that UAFS got respect because "[t}hey weren't even ranked and not receiving votes and jumped up all the way to 13th" is merely to observe that the polls had it wrong going into the tournament. To say that the poll has sort of fixed it somewhat by moving them up a bit is not to support the conclusion that they are now in the appropriate relative place. Just curious: If UAFS had beaten Tampa and then beaten SW Minn, would you not rank them #1? Would you still say that "Tampa is the better team, despite the outcome of the game?" If so, why have a tournament, why play the games? Don't actual results matter? So logically, Harding should be ranked higher than UAFS. Why aren't they ranked??? What did they finish in GAC, 4th, so all of the teams that beat them should also be ranked higher then Harding, which would drop UAFS even farther. Your logic means that anybody that has a loss should be ranked lower than they team that beat them, so let's just say that everyone should be ranked number one then. If UAFS would have beat Tampa and SWMS, they probably would have been ranked number 1. A couple of years back Concordia St. Paul beat Tampa in the first round of the Elite 8, but they st

Hit the wrong button. What I was still going to say is that Tampa was beat by Concordia St. Paul in the first round of the elite 8 and still finished 2nd or 3rd in the country that year, because Tampa was still better than everyone else.

Results do matter... thats why they still have the Pablo rank they do... do you even understand what I mean by that? (that isnt sarcasm - thats a real question) No, I've never heard of Pablo. I wonder what that is? Does it have something to do with volleyball?

If you do have access to Pablo... Then you know the argument you're attempting to make is what deserves that very thing

I'd like to see these tournament teams play the NAIA champion. I'm curious how that would go down.

With the number of South Americans on their roster... It would be a match against Tampa... I would be curious to know how old some of their Brazilians are... TX Women's had a 28. Yr old on their roster a few yrs back... And she was nasty good!

That Brazilian was quite good. Problem was, only for about a set and a half. Ran outta gas and needed to pace herself. That team had 3 brazilians last year (13) and some good moxie to em.
