There's still hope for Pacific. Without seeing them play, the setter seems solid and they have some talented young players. Maggette is a good digger that will keep you in games. Bennet, Drollinger, Groothius and Mussie all return next year. The main thing is to improve blocking. 0.67 is not going to cut it for Vinall. She's even lower this year at 0.55. Bennet is attacking very well right now so her blocking just has to get slightly better. McHugh has to make a decision to either push Vinall to seal that block or to start rotating someone for blocking purposes when the game is on the line. Idaho was attacking at will despite some lousy passing. I would like to see Robin Terry (sophomore) come in for Vinall. Bennett is finally playing middle and doing things she hasn't been able to do at opp. (Geez, Jayne recruits all middles and expects them to be converted to all the other positions.) Magut is doing well in her libero slot, she actually set in hs, with 27 digs last night. Now that's something Pacific hasn't seen since Jamie Hamm. (I miss Jamie.)

Subterranean message to Pacific:
Better jump down a manhole Light yourself a candle Don't wear sandals Try to avoid the scandals Don't wanna be a bum You better chew gum The pump don't work 'Cause the Vandals took the handles
