How so? I think the committee finds a way for UCLA hosts to save them all those flights out of SoCal. because UCLA has stronger wins, because Iowa State & Kansas don't have the schedule strength of UCLA, because by any better rating system Iowa State & Kansas are SIGNIFICANTLY worse than UCLA, because......
only if one looks at Kansas & Iowa State with 'RPI blinders' on, would one seed them above UCLA So is Pablo considered a better rating system? Kansas is #22 and UCLA #15. The difference in rating is about the difference between HCA. That would make Michigan State SIGNIFICANTLY better than Utah - yet Michigan State possibly doesn't make the tournament and Utah is most likely in.

only if one looks at Kansas & Iowa State with 'RPI blinders' on, would one seed them above UCLA You mean... only if one looks at Kansas & Iowa State with the criteria that the selection committee uses, would one seed them above UCLA Exactly. I thought that's what we were talking about.

You mean... only if one looks at Kansas & Iowa State with the criteria that the selection committee uses, would one seed them above UCLAExactly. I thought that's what we were talking about. it might be close. ucla is 5-8 against the RPI top 25 (using this projected RKPI) (wins against illinois, USC (2x), oregon and colorado). their worst loss is to #43 LMU, plus losses to #41 arizona st, and #39 utah. iowa st is 4-6 against the RPI top 25 (wins against kansas (2x) and oklahoma (2x)), with a bad loss to #91 TCU, plus losses to #59 baylor and #55 minnesota. they play baylor one more time tonight to close the season. kansas is 3-7 against the RPI top 25 (wins: iowa st, kansas st and oklahoma). also has a bad loss to #91 TCU. i think ucla has better signature wins (illinois/oregon), and their losses aren't as bad as either iowa st or kansas's losses.
