For the record, she APPLIED. She has not been accepted. And if she were, we'd have to figure out how to pay for it. I'll stop with the personal stuff in this thread, but I didn't want people to think I said something I didn't.

Unfortunately, the weather is a big concern to these 9th-11th graders. I know of a top 2018 player who is still growing (father is 6'10", mother is 6'5" or taller) who is being heavily recruited and has offers from many schools. She doesn't know where she wants to go yet but she knows she wants it to be somewhere warm. At the age of 15, that is her main concern about the school she will attend.

Fortunately, there are warm destinations to play volleyball in college in the States, but her warmer options are slim pickings in the professional game, unless she's one of the few that gets to play in Brazil... |

We got a couple inches of snow in DFW last night and it is 23 degrees this morning. Fortunately this only happens once or twice a year so everyone enjoys the white landscape for a couple days. Forecast calls for 60 degrees and sunny Saturday.

Gophers head to Japan this week. Hope this works out for them. I hope their expectations are not too high. I think it will be a great experience regardless of the win/loss record over there. Even if they get completely crushed in every match, they'll still learn little finer points of the game and hopefully be able to integrate them. If they win every match, all the better! |

Does anybody know anything about the transfer from Ole Miss, Margaret Eggert? Outside hitter originally from MN and played club for Korkoro. Could she work her way into the starting line up?

She did not start and rarely played for a SEC team that was below .500 at 8-10 so it would be very surprising if she came in and worked her way into line up as OH with the talent currently on Minnesota at OH. |

Just saw on Paige's Instagram (obviously a legit source, lol) that the Gophers won their first match over in Japan. Pretty cool!
Looks like they are having a LOT of fun over there.
Hope the Gopher blog posts some stats or pics from the matches.
