C.L. is too funny with her 'law'. Middle school ball is just the beginning. '-) --- Redshirt Greeley by that Sunday when Florida is in town (three weeks into the pre-season).
OPPs may be BIG in the international men's game; yet the women are getting there, slower in the collegiate game.
Granato passes well for an OH. Huff is going to be taken back by Beeman at the end of VB mid-season. It would also be nice to see what others could do on the outside.

Damn i so wish i could be there this weekend but i have too much going on right now. Watching Kanoa & Chris is the next best thing. Idk about other commentators but i'm pretty sure we have the best duo in the country. Mahalo piha OC16 for your excellent coverage of local sports.

It's watufakas, anyway. ;-) American U. will go 3-1 this first weekend, in Washington imo. Florida on Sunday will be a good preview. Everybody watch now!

Saw a news clip where Robyn Ah-Mow Santos was setting Olivia Magill, nice high sets allowing Magill to fully extend to hit. Then saw Higgins set Magill, and guess what, the ball was set just above the net, not allowing Magill to fully extend to hit, just like last year. I know Dave wants to run a fast offense, but that does not mean the sets have to be low. Robyn's sets to Magill were high but fast, not like Higgins very low. What good is it that Magill can jump higher, but cannot take advantage of it, cause Higgins sets so low.

Setter and hitter both have margins for error and sometimes it doesn't work. Olivia's jump varies as well as Higgins' set location. Assigning blame on a team is dangerous. We Wahine fans are VERY hard on our setters, obviously because of the team's history at that position. I believe Tayler epitomizes that legacy. Go 'Bows.

I have, when Robyn was setting Magill, she was hitting the ball straight down with authority. Whereas when Higgins was setting her, she was hitting the ball into the deep court. One thing I have noticed, when Robyn sets the middle she has full arm extension when she sets. On the other hand, Higgins does not get full arm extension, instead keeps her arms bent, and just taps the ball, reason why she cannot set the ball high, and tends to set the ball low to the middles.

All I am saying folks is, do not be shocked if Higgins sets to the Middle are still very low. Not making use of the jumping ability, or height, that the Wahine have at that position.

This team has the height, athletism, and potential! The only thing is, this team will "LIVE" or "DIE" by the mercy of the setter!
