Dear Wisconsin fans. Please Convince wilsconin to come down to Hawaii for the 2016 season, SO I may see carlini in person. Not to mention it will be a battle of two programs famous for their ball control. I would love a preconference tourney in HI. We would totally go and stay with the fam. It would be awesome. It would be one heck of a match. Two ball control teams, with maybe not PSU, Nebraska, etc style pin hitters, but they play all around good volleyball. Also, we us hawaii fans could see Carlini in person before she goes off to the national team. Best of luck to washington come 2015. I think it will be "down" compared to last year, but with carlini, I still see them as a top ten team, seeded, and making a pretty deep run in the tournament.

The main attribute or characteristic of Pete Waite and Steve Lowe was humility. They were humble men. I will leave it at that.

Hell...I would go to Hawaii. So would Rainbow I bet. I smell a bratwurst luau!! I'm pretty sure someone with a "rainbow" as part of their user name on a volleyball board would go to Hawaii! My standards must be too low. I was excited at the prospect of going to Omaha this fall.

Nebraska fans are notorious for being friendly with the opponent's fans who travel with their teams. I'm excited for Carlini's arrival on the NT. Not only will she likely make Team USA better, but Wisconsin fans will start participating in the international volleyball convos!

My standards must be too low. I was excited at the prospect of going to Omaha this fall. We're currently debating between Omaha and Louisville. We had a wonderful time in Louisville in December when we were there for Regionals, and we didn't even get to see any sights, like Churchill Downs or the Louisville Slugger museum. We also missed out on a bourbon tour/tasting. So we want to go back. And it would be great to see the Badgers play North Carolina, who are sure to be solid competition. The Omaha tourney probably has better competition, though, with both Creighton and K-State. And there's some lovely corn to look at in Nebraska. Or something. The Fan Bus people said that Louisville was too far to bus, so I'm guessing that Omaha is, too. Maybe we could have a VolleyTalk carpool! ETA: Actually, it looks like Omaha is closer by about an hour, but it's still probably too far for a bus. The Fan Bus people were saying that there's a cutoff after which the bus company requires you have 2 drivers so they can trade off, to prevent them from getting too tired. Plus, it'd be an overnight, and if you charter a bus on an overnight trip you also have to pay for the drivers' lodging. That becomes expensive in a hurry.

The Fan Bus People sounds like a bad Village People cover band. Wild ride, that!

Disappointingly, it looks like Frontier discontinued the Milwaukee-Omaha flight we took down the first year that Nebraska-Omaha was in the WCHA. It was cheap and short.
Omaha is actually really underrated. The downtown area is walkable and has a lot of nice places to eat and drink. We were pleasantly surprised.

Man, this class isn't even juniors in high school and I'm so stoked for them to graduate.

Time to reassess the lineups in the coming years. Also, how the scholarships shake out.

Her HS roster shows she was on JV last year, and she plays on SPVB #3 16's team. Don't think there is a 2017 scholy available so I'm confused on this one...But in Sheff we trust!
