Post some video that I can see cause from the stuff I've watched she doesn't look better the Brianna. Maybe I'm not watching right video How tall is Rivera. Heard she was pretty short. Had her listed at 178 centimeters which I believe translates to 5 ft 10 inches. Weiskircher is listed at 6'1

Maybe she's a legit 5'10. Which isn't that short. I feel like the US players all add a couple inches or they measure their height in shoes.

Would there be a chance of putting Whitney in the middle, and putting Lee on the rightside? I have only watched Gorrell's recruiting video, and from what I saw, she is very comfortable going off one foot but I did see any two feet attacks. Now I did not watch any matches with Whitney in the middle, so I am not sure what she can run. Washington will keep her middle rotations I'm guessing as the slide is her strongest attack. It's a good problem to have for sure, but where do some of these hitters end up? To me you can't take Courtney or Frantti off the left, and I don't see them wanting to take Whitney off OPP. Washington M1, and rumors of Holman being M2.....still up in the air. Where does this leave Lee? Unfortunately, I think the bench for another year.

So anyone see Natalie canuli play? I hear she is ridiculously athletic. Any chance she could start this next year for psu. Also see they have kendell white comming in the following year who is rated pretty high as Libero also. If anyone has seen both, who had more potential ?

Probably the most important thing will be serve receive and you just can't project that based on high school/club and video. All you can do is play them in September and see what happens. Lots of people are super athletic and don't have the right temperament to return serve. The Pierce sisters both played well late in the season. I saw enough of Kendall that I think she'll be a solid receiver with the potential to be very good, and the same may be true of Lainy. If Dykstra and Canuli are ready to play, PSU should be OK in the back row. One thing for sure: Courtney's back row prowess becomes more important than ever for PSU. So anyone see Natalie canuli play? The Libero position at PSU stresses passing above all else. Kendall Pierce's passing stats over the last month of play may have been the best on the team and her overall quality of play jumped significantly. Of course she didn't see the amount that Dom or Megan but her ratio of 3s was very high. She clearly has the inside track to start. Canulli will be a welcomed addition who will help for sure.

We also should acknowledge that not only will Megan's backrow play be even better but Ali's will also. Having two long athletic 6 rotations OH's with NC experience will go along way in easing the transition to a new Libero and DS.

One thing for sure: Courtney's back row prowess becomes more important than ever for PSU. With their abundance of attackers, it makes one wonder what would happen if they put her in the back row permanently...

Courtney could play any position but middle at an all-B1G and maybe AA level. Could probably have been a setter of Carlini's caliber if she had wanted to do that. She could have been a libero. But I wouldn't want to give up what she can do at the net. Incredibly versatile hitter and one of the best solo blockers in college VB, and that is a tremendous and underrated thing she does for this team. Her ability to bedevil hitters in one-on-one situations has freed up PSU's middles to cheat to the other side for three seasons now. Plus she's like having a coach on the court out there. How many times in the last two championship runs did Courtney spot something on the other side that made a big difference in a close match. Two years ago I was thinking -- geez, time to sit back and just enjoy Deja's last year. Last year it was Hancock. Next year will be the final season to enjoy watching Megan Courtney play. What a career she has had. One thing for sure: Courtney's back row prowess becomes more important than ever for PSU. That's a very good point. Frantti is already very good but probably going to make a big leap next year as a back row player -- just like McClendon did her soph year. We also should acknowledge that not only will Megan's backrow play be even better but Ali's will also. Having two long athletic 6 rotations OH's with NC experience will go along way in easing the transition to a new Libero and DS.

Not sure what good a libero with a back row attack would be. Libero cannot attack above the plane of the net.
I agree that Megan is an excellent player and a very nice outgoing kid. I was very happy to see her final 4 breakout.
