Do not know why people are calling Kessy old when she is only one year older than Walsh. I think Fendi and Sweat could qualify or Kessy and Day. Once you qualify if you go on a run you never know.

Some thoughts: - April & Kerri are a lock for the quarterfinals in Rio but after that, get the dice out...Net serves, etc. Anything is on the table, but they WILL win (but, I did graduate from Kerri's alma-mater, so some "bias" there...PLUS my brother-in-law invented the colors of Mitty (Gold/Black) and mascot (Monarchs)....with that said: - My eyes on Summer (the player, not the season)...She will rise this year and separated from Day, see what her essence is... - Whitney's plateau? Something someone invented; she made the Huntington finals and looked great...not the end of this gals career, maybe the start. - Branah - Don't rule her out - EY, "...our nation turns its lonely eyes to you . . . " - Kessy - Hasn't shown anything without April, so . . . ....phone call from Misty, for the '2nd tier" in '16? LOL Optimism RULES, but REALITY will reign, sooner, than later . . .

One thing to remember, last year was Fendrick/Sweat's 1st year together. This will also be only Brooke's 3rd full season as a Pro. The chance of them being better this year is there too.
I really enjoyed the athleticism of Carico & DiCello, they ended the AVP with 4 3rds in a row (Carico only finished worse than 3rd once for the AVP season). They were a middle of the season team, so an off-season together will only help. I think I'll be rooting hardest for this team.
Kessy had some good seasons with an older McPeak and Nancy Mason before April, so don't discount her. It may take a few tournaments for her to get her tournament legs back. Are they going to play FIVB?
Fopma/Summer should be the favorites on paper, but I'll need to see them score points. They have a bunch of tools to do so, they'll just need to put it together. Should sideout really well.
in summary, it's wide open. Chemistry & those intangibles will make the difference as this is a pretty talented group we are talking about.

Brooke may improve but unless she grows she has a very definite ceiling. I dont think teams really get much better after a season together. The individual members may but playing together for a year is long enough to work anything out. I didnt realize Lane had done that well last year. She and Fopma may end up together at some point Kessy had some half decent non-April seasons but April was the driving force on that team. She was the Anjinho by the end and its not like she has stopped aging.
