It was actually kinda fun, we thought - we have gone for the past few years. Mason is a north Cinci suburb - the WaterPark that the NVL has it at is right near the Tennis Center AVP venue - they are both very close to King's Island. The Courts were kinda haphazard for the NVL but I actually thought it was a pretty well-run event - they also make room for the junior girls beach teams to play there, so that was a great opportunity for them and fun to watch, plus you can always go and ride some water rides if you get bored!

There is the chance another date or two could be added I would think. If he announced 8 or 9, then had to retract to 7, everyone would rip him and say new owner, same AVP. If he announces 7, and then grows to 8 or 9, there would be nothing but praise.
I could be wrong and the 7 may be it, but we can hope he has another one or two that are still in the works.

I sort of haphazardly came across a mention on a VA Beach area hotel's website that they have April 24-26 listed for an AVP event. www.breakersresort.com/virginia_beach_hotel_events.html . After a little more digging, I saw similar info on the Virginia Beach city website and another area hotel's website too. Sort of makes me wonder what sort of info is officially being shared by AVP to players vs. what's really going on behind the scenes with talks at various host sites. I would have to think for a city to share with hotels, it's more or less set.

I start by saying I don't know this to be concrete: But I know last year the main draw players were given advance notice on both the dates and the regions that were affiliated with those dates. The reason that they weren't given the location wasn't because it wasn't etched in stone, but because the contract between the AVP/host cities were set up so that the cities could announce it first. Anyone in the know have any information on this?

New Orleans and Va Beach! Two historically great sites, so much better than places like Milawaukee or Chicago. It will be nice because the players will be able to focus on the games without too much cheering or fan noise

Derek Olsen posted this which "would lead" one to believe a more robust schedule, IMHO . . .
Just got through AVP media day and in the process infiltrated the tour schedule war room. Security got to me before I could snap a photo but I am flying high after seeing the #AVP2015 tour stops! So pumped and I know you guys will be too! @avpbeach

We're "alarmingly" close to April 1st, just in time for our "April Fool's schedule"...any other updated on venues? Santa Barbara?

I confirmed with the Manhattan Beach Rec Dept that the Manhattan Open is August 14-16, which makes sense with the FIVB Long Beach tournament starting on August 18.
