Cal came back and won in 5. Carmen Annevelink came in and made the difference, it would seem from the stats. This is a solid win for Cal. UNLV is a solid team. I would just add they came back from well behind in the 5th set. UNLV seemed to have problems in some rotations but they do appear to be a solid team.

Terrible weekend for the PAC. Colorado and Oregon lose two against good competition, Stanford will at least split, but the lower half has been terrible. Cal loses twice - to KState and Green Bay, Utah goes down to Wyoming with a tough match against the Zags, Oregon St. is 0-2. That will not be kind to the conference's RPI.

So are Tyler Spriggs and Kalei Mau looking like the starting outsides for Arizona as of now? Or will it be Mau and Dahlke? It seems like Spriggs is getting a little bit more playing time but Coach Rubio is very high on Dahlke.

But I haven't seen them against real tough opponents so it's hard to tell. Mau was not effective at all last year in the PAC 12

Hodson was nominated for both Offensive and Freshman of the week.

maybe one finger. I cant remember any OH in history scoring that often and efficiently. I remember one match in Hec Ed (Nov 2010) when the Huskies almost took Stanford to a fifth set but ended up losing in 4. At the end of the fourth set, every Stanford set went to Klineman. Everyone in the gym knew it was going to her, but she still kept getting kills. That's pretty much the definition of "putting the team on your back". She just kept getting kills until finally Stanford won 26-24. She "only" hit 0.302 and 6.0 kps in that match, but I think she did win POW that week. Stanford hit for 0.436 in that fourth set. (The match scores were 21-25, 26-24, 25-22, 26-24.) www.nmnathletics.com//ViewContent.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=30200&CONTENT_ID=755141I remember a match a couple of years ago in the Galen Center at a Regional Final where you knew every set was going to go to VanSant, and she kept delivering as well. And add that was against USC, VanSant finished with over 40 kills and over 30 digs. That to me, is the definition of "putting a team on your back".

Have your thought on the pecking order changed from the beginning of the season?
Mine certainly have especially the middle and bottom pack of the conference.

Some separation has occurred:
Top: Stanford, Washington, ASU, USC, UCLA (no clear favorite)
Middle: Oregon, Arizona, Colorado
Bottom: Utah, WSU, Oregon State, Cal

That said, it's been nice to see WSU winning some games, much like Penn State does frequently. (I thought that was funny in the other thread, hope it works here.)

There's a new sheriff in town I think like taylor, they didn't wanna do it four times in a row, because both of them I believe had better stats then the ones who won.
