Other thread was old. This is a summer edition.
96 today. Finally turned on the A/C. Snowbirds are still here clogging up Costco. I'm guessing they are staying until Easter.

California snowpack is at 8% of the average for this time of year. Not good, especially for farmers. Also been unseasonably warm since January. High around 70 today near Palo Alto.

Triple digits today. Almost made it to May, so can't complain. What is your water rationing situation in the state? You know, we are always "low" here, but I can't remember ever being asked to ration except in the 80's. Desert landscaping is encouraged (hate it), the usual request to not run dishwasher until full, do full loads of laundry, etc. Also saw something the day-go to a car wash. Doing it at home wastes water. But no fines for us. I asked my daughter in No. Cal if I should get one of those water wiggle sprinkler things for my grandson's birthday. She said no-they could get fined. I'm not as vigilant as I should be.

91. Plus we have to reduce our household water usage by 38 percent per month. Join the YMCA and take your showers there. I bet doing that would lower by more than 38 percent (Because I started doing this, I got a call from the water company wanting to know why my water usage was so low, they thought the meter was broken)

I wear flip flops in the hotel shower. Forecast for today-only 114.
