We are expecting a HIGH of -9 on Sunday, following the next snow storm and -23 Saturday night. HA! Only one thing will make that bearable ... I completely commiserate. It's only supposed to be in the 60's here, with crappy surf conditions to boot. Sad face.

When you are as naturally pessimistic as I am, it all just rolls together into one big ball of ... The desk clerk in Columbus was complaining about the 14 degrees. I said it was -7 when we left Wisconsin and that shut him up right away. Friday - Sunday in Wisconsin 9-12 inches of snow. And then -11. Fahrenheit. Also beaten by Minnesota. They beat us in everything - jobs, the economy, weather, volleyball, education, investments. Well, not football. But who cares about football.

It's all the Sports section cares about. U of M football stealing headlines the only way it knows how. Just a disgusting culture, at all levels.

Bizarre weather today for Christmas in Nebraska. Drove 93 miles west of Lincoln this morning with driving rain, thunder and lightning. The high was over 50 with periods of VERY heavy rain. Went to let my dogs outside around 630 to be greeting with 50+ mph winds and the sound of tornado sirens. Had steady winds of 30+ mph with gusts of 70+. We have wild weather patterns here but tha was ridiculous.

It was cool, nearly overcast, and there were occasional periods of light drizzle. Typical late June day.
