This may be true, but I can give Nebraskans 3 reasons to turn out for this event: Kelsey Robinson, Kayla Barnwath, and Jordan Larson. You'll see an uptick for the matches, and especially US matches from Friday through Sunday. More people off work coinciding with more people being made aware it's actually going on. Not sure what that will mean in total attendance though. One of the biggest issues is that USAV leadership in Nebraska is poor, and that's being kind about it. However, one of the huge marketing pushes for these matches also involved doing a co-op with Creighton University and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. That partnership being a competitive team camp at the CenturyLink Center running today through Saturday. That brought in more than 80 high school teams - with every athlete getting tickets to matches today and Friday. The cost of those tickets were built in to the cost to attend the camp. Creighton and UNO have done a tremendous job marketing that and I think many people were waiting to go with their kids on Thursday and Friday and then also going to the weekend matches. Creighton and UNO deserve a lot of credit for what they have done and I think the attendance numbers will be reflected in that for matches tonight and tomorrow. |

Did not imagine Sunderland to look like that lol. Also, not surprised that Russia beat Brazil 3-0. Sunderland even said yesterday that Russia and Serbia can be very good if they put it all together!
