wow give larson a nice high set to the outside, and she crushes it. I was impressed more with the cover after Italy's block, that is what enabled that play to even happen. We are starting to get better at getting tips and covering balls. I feel like all the pieces are starting to come together finally in this squads game.

(which has always been a sturdy part of her game.)

interesting how backrow larson steps in front of whoever libero to set when she can - happens often enough .. would be fun to see liberos setting her in the pipe

Diouf is not giving them much. Time for Sorokaite. Sorokaite is making some errors cold off the bench but at least she takes some swings. If you're going to get blown out might as well throw some haymakers rather than the fluff from Diouf.

Larson, sets better in transition than our libero does and can pass better sometimes, we want her to step in and set or take the ball. It will work.

I really think Karch is bringing 2 liberos. Unless the roster size changes, no. He'll want an extra middle, 2 extra OH And an extra opp. If it increases to 14, maybe.

The one thing about all the Italian hitters (except Diouf) is that they take huge cuts at the ball. Errors can pile up, but it makes them dangerous when hot.

I thought it was a very interesting and correct statement by Sunderland that a lot of the European teams are not what they were in the last quad. They mentioned turkey, Russia, Serbia and Italy all playing pretty poorly in comparison to the past.
