Does anyone know which side of the arena will have the up ref? I hate to sit behind the up ref since ref & ref stand block out a chunk of the net and players in that area. When I looked at the layout for possibly getting tickets there was no indication of what section would be behind the up ref. Sure I have a 50/50 chance since there are only 2 sides but this is one choice I'd like to get right. Anyone in the know? Well one side is almost completely sold out and the other is wide open.. Not sure what this indicates.

Really? While admittedly biased, I can take a joke. Do you really find this funny, original or clever in any way? It could very well be me, but this didnt even make any sense. Fans tired of watching Cook and Co with a waiting list for nearly 9,000 tickets, over 4k fans paid attendance at a spring game in the middle of the state? Where is the punchline? I thought it was funny... I guess you do need to have your humor checked. You never know, it could save ya an argument.

Who knew flying into Nebraska from the east coast can cost more than 400 dollars round trip? I'll be streaming the matches live in my room.

Also, I think both the mens and womens teams are scrimmaging tomorrow somewhere in California so whoever is going, I would love to read some observations of the matches (e.g. who played, who was dominant)!

Thanks.

I'd take Serbia over Russia, and Russia over Turkey. Also, the Netherlands or Poland over Bulgaria. Depends who's on the roster. Serbia at full strength should be good, I just haven't seen it in years. Turkey could be real good too though. It'll be interesting. Who does Russia have? I also think Bulgaria has a ton of talent that hasn't come together.. They are so similar to Serbia. I've never understood why the Turkish league is so rich and competitive, but their national team has not been very successful in these international tournaments.

The final round has a round-robin format, so Team USA is guaranteed to play each day. The other five teams will be made up of the top 4 teams from Group 1 (not including USA) and the winner of Group 2. Group 1: Belgium, Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey Group 2: Argentina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico After Belgium's dismal showing last year, the winner of Group 2 will no longer play in the Finals.

When I looked was months ago...probably about the time they started selling tickets so there wasn't that clue. Thanks. When I bought my tickets last fall, the "best available' option got me Section 106. My belief is that was just the default, and I have no evidence that the people selling the tickets had any idea on the location of the up ref. If you or anyone else finds out, please post. This question came up on another thread and I never saw an answer.

After Belgium's dismal showing last year, the winner of Group 2 will no longer play in the Finals. so what does that mean? whats the point of group 2? Have the winner replace the worst team from Group 1? =) I think it makes sense. Did the winner of Group 3 play against the best teams from Group 2? I don't think it did, but I could be wrong.
