I still am scratching my head at that one ball to end the second set she had no approach and was outside of the 10 ft line and just blasted it through/over a pretty well formed double block. |

It's unfortunate that the announcing is a bit redundant and annoying on one of the few occasions we have volleyball on a national telecast. Sunderland with his old man rants and Barnett doing his Net Live schtik Isn't going to win over any new fans imo. I adore Sunderland, but I'm kind of like, "Um... guys...? How about you tell us what's going on with the game? Please?" |

lol at Kevin Barnett... "Karsta Lowe likes to go hard cross angle on the high ball as teams get more tape on her they'll figure that out"... Ummmm she's played in almost every Grand Prix match. That's a lot of tape.

Barnett can be good, but he can be self-indulgent on air and in real life. TV sponsorship is crucial for hosting these events and I just wish the announcers were bringing their A game too. |

The announcers were like a broken record reminding us that China had sent quite a few of their best home to rest. Still, that was damned good VB being played by both teams. I don't envy Kartch and staff having to make those tough roster choices coming up. |

Lowe may have a case for MVP. 4.6 kps hitting .455 on the week. Goncharova obviously still has a case.
Easy must have heard all those Vansant mumblings.. she came out on fire today.
Murphy hit .123 for the week....wonder if she's feeling the heat

Goodness our pipeline is unreal. We have so many LEGIT players that won't be able to be on the roster for Rio and the World Cup. I'm not one for predictions but Karsta will definitely be there along with Larson, Foluke, Glass, Dietzen, Hill. I think they will still take Banwarth.
Either way the U.S. is in a very good spot!
Could someone fill me in what happened with Hooker?

I'm more than a little disappointed that the arena wasn't packed to the rafters for the final. Especially since THREE ex Nebraska players were often times on the court at the same time.
It will be most interesting to see how well the USA's momentum carries forward to the upcoming world cup.
