I've been to Omaha many times for the College World Series. Just keep telling yourself "I'm here for the Volleyball" and everything will be all right. I mean, I think the worst part about getting to Omaha is driving through Iowa... or so I've been told. Looking forward to it, actually. The Heartland. Also the Waistland

So, people of Omaha, or frequent visitors... What are some fun things to do in the area? Will be there for the entire event. I don't really know much about the area. Open to any suggestions!

Awesome. How did you find that--the Visitors and Convention Bureau website? Nah, Warren Buffett sent it to me when I asked him the same thing.

Look, so what you're saying is I'm there for the volleyball and to only go to and from the arena/hotel?!?!?

Look, so what you're saying is I'm there for the volleyball and to only go to and from the arena/hotel?!?!? Well, not really. Finding something fun to do in Omaha is slightly better than sitting in a hotel room in Omaha. Just don't get your hopes up. If you find something, it's frosting on the cake...well, more like gravy--lumpy gravy, that is.

Hey, is the Mai Tai Lounge still kicking? I love old-school, somewhat decrepit Tiki bars. So there's that.

Just a few things: visit the zoo. One of the best in the world! Take in the Old Market. Great place for food and drink and walking distance from the match site. For culture check out the Josllyn Art Museum. For a different kind of culture wonder across the river to the casinos in Council Bluffs. Numerous golf courses at decent prices. That should get you started.

If you are into military history, the Strategic Air Command museum just west of Omaha is great. Golfers can check out Quarry Oaks in the same area (Ashland, Ne). Beautiful course overlooking the Platte River. sasmuseum.com/www.quarryoaks.com/-home

Does anyone know who the other 5 countries competing, will be? If it hasn't been determined yet, do you know when and how they will be determined?

Interesting competition formula. Cuba is in the 3rd group. Boy how the mighty have fallen!
