She can hit great angles and seems very quick off the floor. I think her potential is off-the-chart. I'm surprised other schools didn't try to recruit her. Off the charts?

If you were to evaluate her form during here last season in Red Star she would have been a top 3 recruit. It was very interesting move to go from Red Star to Pancevo as Cvezda has been the top producer of Serbian talent for a very long time. To go from playing Champions League to not competing in European Cups is strange career path.
She is not by any means as good as Boskovic but she is used to playing six rotations and was counted on to score at a high level from the backrow. I don’t see a lot college teams using this attack as frequently as she saw it in Serbia. Depending on how they chose to use her or not use her in this capacity will determine if she can show what she’s able to do.

I will take your word for it because I haven't enough of all the top 10 recruits to offer an opinion.

I can't wait to see her in blue & white. I expect she will be the heir-apparent for RS.

I can't speak to frequency, but PSU has effectively used the back row attack for many years. Megan in 2014 and Deja before that as well as others.

There's an opportunity for her to see consistent match play with her serve and experience playing 6 rotations, Jelena could be a viable serving substitute...OR even DS. From the little video I've seen- she could be another scoring option out of the back with the D ball. But I'd imagine she'd have to be an extra proficient passer for this to happen, since additional scoring options aren't a need at this point.

I have a hunch that she was recruited specifically b/c she plays 6 rotations and can score consistently from the backrow. ... and being lefthanded. Plus she has to be a good fit for PSU in other ways. No point recruiting her if she's not going to stay and earn a degree. Maybe someday she'll be teaching at Harvard and MIT and writing books like Zeynep Ton. zeynepton.com/about/

I'm not saying she won't be a fantastic player, but we are basing all of this off of one video online right? A highlight video no less. People are crazy

I think it pretty much depends what side of the net (or roller in the above pic) you are on. There are so many very good teams that can win it all. Penn State just has been very fortunate in having fewer injuries than most teams. PSU has had more than their share of injuries over the past 8-10 years. They have?

Perhaps, but the coaching staff has a new respect for lefties after enjoying Hancock for 4 years and they love to have the backrow attack when they only have two hitters at the net. The coaching staff does a great job of finding new talent.

The coaching staff does a great job of finding new talent. How do you know this? Is this a fact or just your opinion? Doesn't every coach appreciate lefty setters and opposites as well as players who are dynamic in the back row? Every post is either totally generic (things that would apply to any team) or just plain off the wall or arbitrary. It would always be preferable to have a player be left hand as an attacker on the right as it would all defenders be dynamic. Was PSU looking for that? Yes along with every coach on the planet

The difference is that all coaches look for it but PSU has a knack of signing them. I couldn't reveal my source even if I had one. I'm sorry you blew your connection to PSU, hopefully you can find another one.
