Most frustrating thing for me was watching the moonball sets go down again and again. Also, Larson didn't get many attempts.

Banwarth did NOT play well tonight. IMO our player who played the least well. Huh? She wasn't our worst player and she had some good saves. Maybe I'm seeeing things that didn't happen, or just judging too harshly, but I didn't see typical banwarth today. If I'm wrong, so be it though. But like I said, this was a team effort, most of our team struggled today.

she should! Lowe is not there yet Lowe has outperformed Her in every tournament they've been together. Murphy will end up going, she has given better results aka winning worlds... he can't afford to change that roster drastically enough to leave the starting RS from the best tournament USA has performed out!

I wonder what the coaching staff will do to improve from now until the Olympics. Seems like the US has its hands full with the size and power of the big European teams. As I watched the match, I wondered why he didn't put/leave Fawcett in more and earlier. Hitting wise I think she could have produced the same (if not more than) Lowe and I think defense wise, she is just better (blocking, digging/ball control). If Lowe's not ready, what's the other option, if not Murphy -- Hooker?
Can nitpick on the setting, libero, Hill ... but Russia seemed to have a game plan and what really surprised me with their game was their back row defense. Wow!

I personally was most disappointed in Dietzen. She has not played well at the world cup and at times has looked like a mess, I expect way more out of our captain

I'm thinking Serbia and Russia qualify. That really opens the door for Italy, Turkey, Germany.. even maybe Croatia or Belgium if they were to get red-hot come European Qualifier time..

Kosheleva seems like a very nice girl. I'm a fan. Seems like a nice girl? Based on what? I'm pissed at her and all the Russian players. And their coach. And the stupid challenge system. And Karch's choices. And Glass. And Banwarth...and the whole world!

Banwarth played okay. Certainly not the worst player for Team USA tonight. Russia was just better at everything. Like I said, Kosianenko made the biggest difference.
Time to go home Team USA and get that NORCECA qualification. Those NORCECA teams must have been cheering for USA to take one of the 2 Olympic berths at stake here.

Go ahead and book your tickets to Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana if you would like to see the USA qualify for the olympics and some potentially shady Caribbean volleyball ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Except Murphy didn't really play all that well in the big matches in the World Championships either.......

Sigh......
I guess we can kiss our world cup championship goodbye.
But how about getting a spot in Rio. Do we still have a chance with this WC?
