It's pretty normal for human beings to have petty quarrels once in a while, especially if you're in love. It adds spice to the relationships.
Lily's and Jose's fight is not any different from normal human beings, just like you and me, or Gorf's and Ruffda's, BiK and IslandGirl. ;D The only difference is theirs is being talked about by us in a volleyball forum.

You're right Rus. These sort of things happen. What goes on in their personal lives is their business. C'mon people, give them their space. Like BarcelonaBob would say,"You all sound like a bunch of women gossiping at the hair salon." I've no doubt that either (R)uffda or Gorf would attack me with their purses if they had the opportunity. ;D

Well, when a semi-famous tall gigantic couple gets into a fight on an island it's kinda like reporting Godzilla vs Mothra. It's sure to bring a lot of attention. In Cepero's case, I think a lot of posters had a beef w/ her still being in the program and being caught pubicly hammered. And was she underaged too?

MidWeek (The newspaper that comes via snail-mail) put out a nice article on Lily last week. I was hoping MidWeek online would have posted the article there so I could post it here, but, they didn't. Too bad. It was basically an interview on her career after UH. She mentioned part of the reason why she took the gig in Russia was to make money so she can take part in beach volleyball tournaments and the money she made playing in Russia could be used for travel expenses. She did also mention, she and her half-sister (LBSU Alum) might be planning on playing together. Another goal of hers is to try out for the '08 Olympics, not sure if this is for beach or indoor, though. There was something funny that she said in this interview in regards to her and her Russian teammates. She jokingly told the reporter that at times she didn't know if her teammates were plotting to kill her when they would speak in Russian around her. I wonder if she will be going back to Russia to play for that team? It was printed that her hitting percentage in Russia was .500.

oops...anyway, are all of you people wacky? ? Sorry for being naive but when I argue with my significant other it doesn't come to blows. This was significant enough for an arrest! If Jose had been doing the punching you people might think he deserved jail time. This is not the way normal people argue, it is indicative of an anger problem. Lily is awesome but this ain't cool.

For the Record:
Cepero was charged with disturbing the peace. She & her boy friend got in to a very loud shouting match & police were called. Yes, she had been drinking but it was in her apartment & she was of age to drink.
So, NO she was not caught publicly hammered or as you stated "Pubicly hammered" thats a whole nothing thing HA ha ha ha.

Hey, I agree. After how many "we love Lily comments" let's call it what it may have been, domestic violence. Domestic violence is not funny, whether it's a man against a woman, or woman against a man. Someone was concerned enough to call the police. oops...anyway, are all of you people wacky? ? Sorry for being naive but when I argue with my significant other it doesn't come to blows. This was significant enough for an arrest! And thus, the moral of the story: NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER mess with Hawaiians. It wouldn't be prudent. (Perhaps all ye semi-old school fans of SNL caught on). I'm not one bit of Hawaiian by ethnicity, but I know not to mess with them. To the Hawaiians who frequent this board: you're not a violent people, but boy, Hawaiians know how to stick up for themselves; and for that I tip my hat to y'all.

(The come back here, of course, should be that she is innocent until proven guilty, which is absolutely correct. But the downplaying of assault charges is surprising to me.)

You know, there is a flower called the Death Lily. But seriously, it is unfortunate but we don't know the details so I think it's best to keep neutral for now. I remember when my sister punched my brother in law after he told her he cheated on her and wanted to leave the kids, and while violence isn't an answer, I would suspect he saw that one coming. I'm not saying that it's something that dramatic, but you never know.
