Sorry Kansas fans... That was a brutal loss. His wife is from Iowa, so perhaps this move was wife-related.

What move? There was no move involved, he was already at Nebraska as the graduate assistant. Pay attention.

Taylor is a school where wins/losses on a resume aren't necessarily as important as what goes on the Statement of Faith. They don't want a job-hopper. They want someone committed to their mission. They had certain criteria--and got them. Yes - Taylot is a "faith-based" school and yes - they act and require their staff to carry out a certain mission, BUT - don't tell me Taylor (2nd most wins in NAIA volleyball history) doesn't care about wins or losses. With the amount of money invested in the program and coaching staff, I expected a big hire. This surprises me.

I guess I'm not as smart as I thought I was. Nobody is as smart as you think you are. It's not often I walk into a room and am not the smartest person. Perhaps I should walk into a room that has people in it.

Plenty of faith-based schools care about winning--but in the hiring process, the Statement of Faith matters more than someone's 500 wins elsewhere, especially if the treated the SoF as just a hurdle/exercise in job application.

Heard from a source a head coach will be leaving the ECC (DII), look for an announcement

Just going through the 2015 standings: Bridgeport and NYIT made it to the region finals so I imagine they would stay, unless they have eyes on other jobs which is always a possibility. Dowling is no longer a College. LIU Post coach has been there for 8 seasons maybe she moved on, but she's having success there, and with Dowling moving out it makes room at the top. Queens (NY) Jason had the interim tag removed in April so he's staying. Daemen promoted Steph in May so she is the Head Coach and SWA so she's staying. Molloy Coach was in his fifth season and finished 6-23 so maybe. Mercy just hired a coach in January. Roberts coach has only been there one season and finished 2-23 so another possibility.
My guess is Molloy.

Hmmm...good guess but no. This coach will be "exploring new land" although it's in their home state so it's like saying aloha

Hmm, well the program isn't a bottom dweller so the next coach should have quite a bit to work with and I expect some good candidates will find that job appealing unless that's where the Dowling Coach ends up.

My guess is Molloy. from an article yesterday. "Dowling College will remain open as the Oakdale school’s trustees continue talks to affiliate with Global University Systems, an education investment firm based in the United Kingdom, the school’s officials said Wednesday. The college’s president, Albert Inserra, announced in a statement that negotiations with the international company have “enabled the college’s board to rescind the motion..." They've also rescinded the motion on their main school page. Not sure what that will mean as far as athletics running however.

I thought they were DII. Did they recently transition? Or maybe I'm just thinking of St Edwards.
