Well, D1 is going nowhere but down after Palos #2. Their starting libero decided he'd rather play outside on their 2s team than libero on the 1s. So now, with no backup libero and no one good enough to call up, D1 16 green is stuck playing one of their outsides at libero, #20.

What we really need to talk about is SPRI 2s, they are legit, beating to ultimate after getting second at Palos #2. All small but have a lot more talent than meets the eye. #25 hit ten foot easily over the block of hitmen and both setters have trademark SPRI setting abilities. Excited to see them continue wrecking at Palos #3.

Best 3 Chicago teams at Palos are Ultimate, Bounce and Adversity. Bounce 16 Red beat Adversity in their own tournament this weekend and won the whole thing. Best 15's in Chicago are Ultimate and Bounce. How can you not include SPRI Runbird in your top 16s teams at Palos? Finished 2nd in PPS #2, beating both Adversity and Bounce. How can you include Runbird and not Mizuno? Isnt Mizuno the top team?

They're tall but not there yet. They will be when they're all coordinated. With the average height on that team being around 6'4, when they do figure it out, they will be scary

They're not bad at all. Kind of a typical spri team doing everything mechanically correct. Making mistakes using proper form etc. They just can't finish matches. By the qualifiers or nationals they'll be very solid.

They are just a more polished team overall

It's going to be interesting to see who is placed where since Wisconsin teams are coming and possibly HPStl. Not sure who will be in the top bracket with these additions. MVC is supposed to be strong. HPSTL is still the favorite if they are there. If not I'd put MVC or ultimate

MVC is supposed to be strong. HPSTL is still the favorite if they are there. If not I'd put MVC or ultimate HiP will not be at Palos this weekend. Keep in mind the Wisconsin teams (MVC, Southport, Sting) are coming down after only 2 or 3 practices and won't be playing up to the level they will be later in the season. PPS #2 finished 1) Ultimate 2) Spri Runbird 3) Bounce 4) D1 5) Adversity. The bottom 3 in bracket AA would drop to bracket B for PPS #3. The top 3 from bracket BB would normally move up to bracket A the following weekend (that would be Hitmen, Spri Wave and Pipeline). MVC and possibly Southport will be placed in bracket A for PPS #3, keeping two of the other teams from moving up. Considering they have played all three weekends, my guess is keep the top 5 the way they are, seed MVC at #6 and Southport #8 (if they are placed in bracket A).

So Pipeline and Spvb wave get screwed. Well played vuster4. Well played. Funny how in the 18s the WI teams played in Bracket B the first day. Gotta love the continuity.

I can't disagree on the unfortunate situation for Wave and Pipeline, but they do have the opportunity to move into the AA bracket for Sunday. The MVC and Southport 16s teams are stronger relative to their peers than the MVC 17s and 18s are to their peers. From strictly a team strength perspective, I think the initial seeding was appropriate both weekends. I'm sure that come the 18s PPS #3, Sting will be placed in the A bracket in their first PPS weekend.
