Maybe BYU ? And Kansas is top 10 in RPI and coaches poll, I don't see how they can reasonably deny them a seed. BYU likely - maybe Western Kentucky.
Kansas is guaranteed a seed, I just don't think they will get a 6 seed if their RPI ends at #6 - I am thinking it will be a worse seed.

Going by RPI with some minor adjustments, how probable does this look: DesMoines 1 Minnesota 16 Missouri 8. Washington 9 Nebraska Austin 2 Texas 15 Texas A&M 7 Wisconsin 10 UCLA San Diego 3 USC 14 Ohio St. 6 Kansas 11 Stanford Lexington 4 Florida 13 Kentucky 5 Penn St 12 Louisville - I kinda have a problem with Florida as the #4 given their SEC losses, so perhaps they're bumped to 6 and Washington or PSU gets the 4 ? - I think Nebraska is sent to Des Moines no matter what - I think A&M is sent to Austin no matter what Given that the committee NEVER hands seeds out strictly by RPI, this sceanrio is VERY improbable |

I hate to be Louisville, Missouri, or anyone else and see Illinois or Purdue coming my way. I like both those two as Seeet 16 teams. It's either that, or not host and go on the road to play those teams. When you are between 12-20, and within the acceptable driving distance, you will be matched up together in a sub-regional. |

Right. Which is why I didn't go strictly by rpi. I do think that regardles of seeding, a similar distribution is likely. Minny & Nebraska are set for DesMoines, I think.
I dont think that both UW amd USC will get a top 4 spot, but maybe one will get matched up w PSU somewhere.

They'll end up in whatever region their true seed places them in. They're just as likely to be sent to San Diego as they are to go to Des Moines. (Last year they were sent to Seattle when Ames was a host) |

Given that Nebraska travels pretty well by anyone's estimation and can sell a ton of tickets, and given that an 8 or 9 seed is quite justifiable, I think the committee will choose to keep them as close to home as possible, as history tells us they are quite likely to do that.

They sent them to Seattle instead of Ames last year. When I see Florida and Kansas listed with such high RPIs, it just makes me think that the RPI is flawed. Those are the two teams who I see being possibly moved out of the top 8 seeds.
But, PSU losing recently gives UF and KU hope of remaining in the Top 8 overall seeds. I also don't see the committee giving four B1G teams Top 8 national seeds. So, one of Wisconsin, Nebraska, and PSU gets a 9 or worse seed; could be based on conference standings.
