I have confidence that the Badgers will win. Oregon is a dangerous team, but the Badgers have done well against a lot of those in the second half of the season.

OMG that video is as obnoxious as their court floor. I cannot watch a VB or BB match there without taking Dramamine. I like the fact that they're promoting the volleyball team, but both videos sort of go too far and encourage one to laugh at the team. I would revise.

I have to say that Oregon has one of the most attractive teams, when you look at all of their players, assistant coaches and support personnel. Just saying...
Nothing wrong with promoting that!

I don't get the kvelling about this match-up. Badgers, one of the first in, win easily over a team that was one of the last in. Better look up kvelling... More like the Badger fans will be kvelling with a victory. I think you mean kvetch. Schmiel, Schmazel....

I would also like to note that the Badgers' potential second round match ups are responsible for all of the Badgers' NCAA tournament losses at home in this century, the U beating the Badgers in 2002 and Iowa State beating Wisconsin in 2007, so I am hoping the Badgers can continue in their quest of burying bad memories.

Bottom line for me is that Oregon will put up a good fight. They will be in each and every set and make Wisconsin work. Oregon has shown that they can basically compete with anyone in the country. They lost to Nebraska in 5. Took a set from UW late in the season, and in that match also lost one 32-30.
The 2 matches against UCLA, in Eugene they lost in 3 sets, but in each set had a 7pt lead, just choked the match away, and beat UCLA in 5 in Pauley.
So definitiely, absolutely, they will be in this match and probably have a chance to win at least 1 or 2 sets. But if Wisconsin chokes just a little, Oregon could come away with a win. I'd say it's a 75-25 percentage leaning Wisconsins way.
The reverse of that last paragraph is also doubly true on Wisconsins side, and very likely that the Ducks will be ahead at some point in a couple of sets. And likely again that the Ducks will open the door for Wisconsin to come back. The Badgers just need to take advantage of it when it happens.

Oregon won't be able to serve Wisconsin out of system. Carlini will be too deceptive. Wiscy's defense is too consistent. I'll respect Oregon by saying they lose in 4, but wouldn't be surprised by them getting swept. The main problem with your statement is Carlini has little to do with in-system or out-of-system. It's more about getting passes up on serve receive than about the setter. Sure Carlini can take some bad passes and make some good decisions. But if the Ducks can consistently serve strong and create some bad passes, there is little Carlini can do about it.

There is supposed to be a live video stream of the Iowa State match at Wisconsin's website but all I see is black and no video. GT says match already started.
