How come (R)uffda is not playing this contest? Is he feeling sorry for all us mere mortals and showing us his mercy? Yeah, I noticed he didn't put in a PTW post and figured he just won the regular season and wanted to end the season on a winning streak so he just elected not to compete with the possibility of losing and tarnish his win!!!!!!
Like taking your ball and going home!!!!!

avca over kern. that's the real story here. If Nebraska beats Minnesota in the final, RPI and Pablo will tie. Otherwise, looks like RPI might beat Pablo this year - Pablo and RPI didn't disagree on too many matches - which made UW/Nebraska (and Pablo ranking UW #1) pretty big.

Question.....
I never saw any scoring criteria for the brackets. Is it 1 point for a win throughout the entire tournament or is there some weighted scoring so you get more points for final 4 and picking the correct champion?
If it is 1 point for a win it is very possible someone can win and not pick the winner or even have both the correct teams in the final.

...1 point for a win...or...some weighted scoring...? If ...1 point...someone can win and not pick the winner or even have both the correct teams in the final. 1 point per win. I believe it's the fairest scoring convention. Theoretically someone can win without picking any of the final 4 teams, but it's just not likely at all. The highest possible final score for this PTW contest is now 54. For someone to beat it without picking ANY of the final 4 teams, he/she would have to pick correctly 55 of the first 56 matches. If so that is a deserving winner .

I am at a very respectable 50 of 61. And dead in the water. I picked USC and Wisconsin to win semi finals and Wisconsin, to win the whole thing.
A tragic end to a great run. Mary Decker Slaney falling on her ass as she neared the finish line. Leon Lett fumbling on the one.

And we all learn when we pick teams that rely so heavily on one player - Bricio, and Carlini. It happened to me when I picked Robinson to lead a team of Husker freshman.
