Hawaii-FIU Live Stats is messed up. They've got Homayun-Zalopany losing in straight sets when in fact, they won in straight sets to put Hawaii up 1-0 in the dual meet. They've also got Long-Tucker winning in straight sets when in fact, they lost in 3. Also, Anderson-Guinasso is an exhibition, so UH doesn't get a point even though Live Stats gives UH the point.

huge win by the bows! one that keeps them in the discussion for the national title still... here's hoping there's no letdown in their final dual match of this roadtrip ... against FIU ... who is also very good!

I can't stand the inaccurate scores on Live Stats. It's as if whoever is running it is watching a completely different match from reality. I'm going to take a nap.

Unlike the women's indoor volleyball team, I hardly know anything about the vast majority of the players on the beach vb team. Granted, the indoor team is a more established and popular team. Still, other than Katie Spieler, Nikki Taylor, Emily Maglio, Ginger Long, and, to a lesser extent, Claire-Marie Anderson and Gianna Guinasso, I know almost nothing about the beach volleyball team. Coincidentally, five of the six players I mentioned above happen to be on the indoor team as well. As for the other players on the various flights, I know nothing of: Lara Schreiber, Mikayla Tucker, Ari Homayun, Hannah Zalopany, Hannah Rooks, Ka'iwe Schuct, Hi'ilawa Huddleston, and Heather Boyan. I only recently discovered by accident that Rooks and Taylor graduated together from Kaiser High School. I'd like to know: were they pals? did they elect to play for UH separately or together? Why did Rooks attend high school in Georgia and then subsequently in Hawaii at Kaiser?
I don't think I can move forward without answers to some of these pressing questions.
BTW, I watched some women's vb on youtube -- mostly UH vs. Nebraska and UH vs. USC. Interesting. Katie Spieler is fantastic! Emily Maglio surprised me with her passing, floor defense, and all-around athleticism. I like Lara Schreiber but she and Taylor seem to have some issues.

Rooks: She moved around a lot due to her family being relocated because of her fathers job. Became friends with Taylor in their one year of high school together. Neither played their senior seasons. Teamed up instead to play beach together. Also both played club for Imi'Ike. Rooks originally committed to the University of Georgia when she was a junior playing for A5.

The location is, I think, Queen's Beach. Not DeLand, Florida. And certainly not March 2016. Note also the UH logo on the net. I hate when they do this -- use a photo that has no connection to the article.
