Anyone up to putting another top 10 out there.....appreciate the initial effort on 4-15......I suspect some movement due to tournaments etc..... Thank you 1. Glenbard West 2-10. Doesn't matter Sad but true. I'd say there is a 99% chance that they win State again this year, and looking at their pipeline I see no reason why they can't compete for more state titles in the next 2-3 years as well. Very good Sophomore class coming up as well as very good Juniors this year. Obviously losing Bischoff and Kotsakis will take it's toll but if they find a solid setter then they can absolutely stay competitive.

Glenbard West showing they aren't invincible winning by a small margin against Downers Grove South 25-19 25-20 down by 4 points in each set but coming back to win it.

Is there anyone at the Vernon Hills Tournament that will test Glenbard West?

I think being down by 4 in both sets and winning might actually show more than it seems. The fact that they can just turn it on and erase 4 point leads and still win by 5 in any given set is still scary. I think for them the hardest part will be staying motivated and playing every game with the intensity required to keep beating every team that desperately wants to beat them. A team like Glenbard West who won the state championship last year 25-15, 25-13 needs to play every game like they're losing. Every team is gunning for them similar to the way everyone goes crazy when they play Huntington Beach out in California.

Rankings Update:
1. Glenbard West 2. Wheaton Warrenville South 3. Lincoln Way East 4. Marist 5. Glenbrook North 6. Brother Rice 7. Sandburg 8. Lincoln Way North 9. New Trier 10. Lincoln Way Central
*Other Top Teams* Buffalo Grove, Hersey, Downers Grove South, Benet, Lake Zurich, Barrington
Glenbard West has proven to be the best team in state so far. That being said, Wheaton Warrenville South should come out strong with a chip on their shoulder (being the second seed in their sectional). Lincoln Way East has been on the rise with some solid wins over sandburg. Marist has consistently defeated teams at a competitive level, I'm excited to see how their sectional turns out with both Brother Rice and Sandburg competing with them for a chance at state After losing to deerfield, Glenbrook North won their own invitational. Brother rices outside should be back in the swing of things come playoffs, if Jim Baker can recover, look to them for making a run in state. Sandburg needs to come together as a group. With lots of raw talent on this team, they had a great start to their season, nevertheless, they suffered some disappointing losses these past few weeks. Lincoln Way North started off the season 14-0; however, other teams in their conference are catching up to them. New trier lost to Maine South, with few impressive victories, it's difficult to give them a high seed. However, New Trier has a lot of raw talent and I expect an exciting couple of matches in their sectional. Lincoln Way Central is barely staying afloat. l am still more impressed with their record than I am with the "other top teams". Barrington is right behind them on the list, however, GBN obliterated this team over the weekend.

Rankings are good but GBN is too high (I think you're a GBN fan/player) but regardless it's nice to have someone doing this. Agreed, they should be lower on the list or not in it at all.

I think what everyone is failing to realize here is that southport 16's probably has one of the greatest teams in recent memory. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up beating GBW in two. I truly haven't seen a team as good as Southport 16's, including many college programs, so look for them to be competitive as playoffs come around.

These rankings have been verified with Shane Davis (the best college coach in the country), Matt Anderson (the best outside in the country), and John Speraw (the U.S. Men's national team coach). Myself and the rest of my colleagues welcome criticism; however, you're wrong.

First - appreciate anonomous5 for the taking the time and effort to put together a top 10. The one exposure I had to most of these teams was at Brother Rice. I agree with A5's ranking of GBN as they are scrappy. Its hard to beat a team that doesn't let the ball hit the ground easily - they are highly athletic group of kids and keep composed. Brother Rice is somewhat circumstantial to their Baker coming back. I like a healthy Brother Rice getting out of their sectional or Marist as a second.
Any potential head-to-head games before regionals start?

I think Barrington is very underrated. They also have a great outside that hasn't even been picked up by any college yet!

Joliet Catholic Joliet Catholic should NOT be ranked so high. Haven't had many impressive wins this season and only player worth mentioning is Blake Reardon. Think that more deserving teams would be Minooka, Lyons Township, Downers South, or St. Patrick.
