Geddy can you give us updates on the team competition too, if you are there? Unfortunately, I have to leave right after the pairs finish and won't be back until Sunday.

That was some high quality beach volleyball right there in the finals with USC's Claes/Hughes vs. Arizona's Witt twins. Very impressive between two of the nations undefeated teams. Here's match point: www.instagram.com/p/BEy3Z1iSaz4/First time really this season that Claes/Hughes have been challenged/pushed; Claes got maybe five serves total, while Hughes was absolutely automatic every single time siding out. She had probably 30+ kills in the match? Very impressed with the Witt twins as well--hard to tell which is which but they had great shots/defense. Nice display of friendship by the two teams throughout the match also, apparently they've known/played each other for a while. Claes/Hughes now 40-0 on the season with a 65-match winning streak dating back to April 2015. Wow!

McKenna Witt 14 kills, Madison Witt 17 kills. But I'm not known for being able to count very accurately beyond 3.

Haha, well 30 in two sets is definitely overkill, but it seemed like every serve went to Hughes and every time it was a side out. I was actually expecting the twins to serve at Claes more, especially in the second set? She brings some heat though so maybe they thought they'd fare better dealing with Hughes... Although Hughes is just so savvy so it's hard to say really. Highlights from USC's semifinal/final:

Chances are pretty likely it'll be those two schools still, but we'll see if anyone can upset the loser of that match in the other semifinals.
