The Q starts today, NVL's 1st of the year.
Pretty good Men's list.
DiPierro / Grotowski are the #1 seed in the Q, which is going to really upset someone's main draw seeding.
Skylar DelSol is playing, was hoping he was going to try his hand at a full AVP season. But, he's probably a top 4 seed here.

Would think possibly DelSol and Marciniak would be a 1 seed here but we'll see.
Awesome to see Cody Kessel playing sand again. Too bad he isn't full time or I think he and DelSol could have a ceiling of being a main draw type team on the AVP.
Wonder where Eric Zaun is?

Anyone else see that Dana Camacho is playing? Hope he makes the main draw and some of his matches get streamed. I'd love to see him play again, ALWAYS entertaining!!

Recap as best as I can from my phone: * Flynn/Jelks made it out of what originally looked like the 'pool of death'. Flynn is raw but has the height/athleticism to eventually be a main draw staple, and for only being 2 years on the sand you can see his IQ / Feel for the game is high. Unfortunately, the weather seemed to get to the players: the medical tent was busy. Sauter from Penn State (bright future) had to forfeit due to injury, Shimonikis lost in the play-in game, but given how bad he was cramping for essentially 2 matches it was surprising that he and Radde took that match to 3, let alone the previous one against Kessel/Patz (Watching Kessel and Radde go at it at the net was something special, those guys have as good of athleticism as anyone, both tours). *Camacho lost their 2nd match to Cloud/Vaughan. Still sides out well, but the opponent sided out at will. Also was playing left side, which was a bummer as his right side cut shot is as pretty as anything you can see in the sport. *Davis/Clubb lost in 3. Clubb literally had to be carted off after the match due to either cramps/leg injury. Not sure if I've ever seen someone play through so much visible pain, but their heart/fight on the court was commendable and I hope he has a speedy recovery. *Didn't get to watch much of the other two teams, but when I looked over at Fraser/Strass they looked pretty good. Always liked the way Todd played, I feel he's underrated. *I second the sentiments about DiPierro / Grotowski - they're the 10 seed, the potential quarterfinal between them and Palm/Henderson is finals-caliber volleyball. *Good day for collegiate players as Putt/Strakova from Stetson (who had an exciting back-and-forth 3 set win over Reichel/Jungnickel from Chicago in the first round - call me biased but I think both teams will be main draw caliber teams if they continue to play on the tour) and Jerger/Esposito from FSU made the draw. Both teams looked steady from what I saw. I didn't get to see many more women's matches unfortunately. * It's interesting to see all the work behind the scenes at the event. We players can sometimes get impatient with some things, but the hustle / effort / attention to detail has been impressive - to finish the 38 team men's qualifier and 16 team women's with that storm break was no easy feat. Live broadcast from enetlive should be up soon at www.thenvl.com. I'll do what I can to keep people updated! Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards

16 seed Stevenson / Long take the first set from DelSol/Marciniak 21-14. Top seed looking a little frustrated on the court from the start.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using proboards Dipierro/Steve win if they are anything near peak. I doubt they will be though but hard to see them losing to Matt. Dana has been done for years. Losing to TJ Cloud in the second round of a minor league tournament is just more evidence of that. He's living off what people remember him doing. The way TJ got beat in the next round just makes that more clear. I like Kris and Todd also. Played Matt and Todd a couple times on the Shore way back, goofy team but hard to beat

Earlier this mornign I looked at the bracket and it had Palmn and Henderson as the 1 seed. Then I cam back a little later and the bracket was empty. Now I'm looking and it has Del Sol and Marciniak as the 1 seed. WOnder if there is some type of issue with it or they just filled it out wqrong.
