Eh, FIVB page shows Brasil -24+18+22+17 Canada. Still got all 3 points in the end. We'll have to beat Brasil ship-to-ship. Get the swing crews to their fighters. We do not HAVE to beat Brazil necessarily. Imo, the way Canada is feeling it, it will come down to the France match (assuming we beat Mexico) If we squeeze in, the slate is wiped clean for all teams and those with momentum have the edge. The teams surging and playing better at the end of the tourney have an edge......we just have to continue to play better. My hope is that we get in and continue to progressively play better......that is not that far fetched considering how the pool is playin out. The Wednesday Canada/France game is crucial. Yes, USA have to beat Brazil at least 3-2. Otherwise it will be almost impossible

Good god. Guys, I am NOT bashing the players!!! I am bashing the 2 coaches, who need to realize that their players have bad days, weaknesses against certain opponents, and then take appropriate actions and teaching. For example, did Speraw do ANYTHING about the horrendous serving for the past month since WL? They also need to make sure their roster is solid (like not picking Thompson as the third setter for god's sake). I like the players just fine. They're capable of winning as some shown in the past. Agree about Speraw, only add horrendous passing. Don't Agree about Fire him..

BRA- 5-0 3-0 OR 3-1 over all except 3-2 win over USA Italy 4-1 3-0 or 3-1 in all wins lose to Brazil Canada 3-2 3-0 over US, 3-0 over Mex, 3-1 over France. Loss to Brazil and Italy. USA 2-3. 3-0 over Mexico, 3-1 over France. 0-3 to Canada, 1-3 to Italy and 2-3 loss to Brazil. France 1-4 losses to USA, Italy, Brazil and Mexico. MEXICO 0-5. I can't assume that France is any better place than we are.

I am confused. Men are 0-2 and Women are 2-0, but both coaches suck?? Did you watch the World Grand Prix where USA lost yet again to Brazil for gold? Did you watch how USA was on the verge of losing to Netherlands at Rio? If their quest is for gold at Rio, it's been looking rough. They're all still talented and deserve to win IMO, but Kiraly is not the star here, the women are. That's my point. I guess my point is, I did watch the women win the World Championship in 2014 without Tom or Hooker. I did watch the USA comeback and BEAT the Netherlands 2 days ago. (guess some people watched them almost lose, I watched them win) (Which China didn't do, since they lost to the Dutch in 5, so does Jenny suck as a coach too?) And, know 2 players on the team, and they said the team WANTED Courtney on the team. They had commented that on the legs of some tournaments that Courtney was not there, the team had a different feel to it, and not in a positive or negative way, but they said it just didn't feel the same. Brazil is 2-0, but has played Cameroon and Argentina. Their pool is weak, and in reality, during crossover, B will most probably go 3-1.

I can't assume that France is any better place than we are. I don't see Canada beat France and even less plausible France lose to Mexico.

I think you guys are underestimate France. Again, USA must score at least 2 pts against Brazil, otherwise all it will be a pure casino

I find it interesting that you judge everything by wins and losses, instead of how they win and lose. How USA performs matters because there is Brazil waiting in the horizon, pumped up to beat USA again in their home country at the Olympics. Jenny Lang Ping doesn't suck, the Chinese players do. So there. And China made a few comebacks during the match vs. NED because guess what...Lang Ping made substitutions. But I guess you didn't watch that match either since only Ws and Ls matter. And seriously why should who the players want on the team dictates the roster? By your logic, they should bring their moms, sisters, bf's/gf's on the team because it makes them "feel better". SMH I guess I didn't realize Kiraly was some sacred being that couldn't be criticized on here.
