It won't be easy. But, USA has more grit than Serbia. That one set aside, USA beat Serbia 'easily'... but this is a whole different ballgame.

The old order dictated that Serbia must lose to Russia. We'll see if there is a new world order nowadays.

I just get flashbacks to the World Cup, with them blocking everything whenever I think about us playing Serbia

Serbia vs Russia in the quarters. Wow! Serbia has done very well vs Russia in the past and this Olympic Games won't be an exception.
Not to take anything away from the Serbs, but USA matches up better with Serbia than Russia. So this is good for USA.

Potentially facing Serbia a second time scares me As long as Nikolic/Malesevic/Busa continue to implode, USA will be good.

The Netherlands have a very good chance of getting a medal with them matching up against South Korea in the quarterfinals. Go Dutch!

Argentina's opposite is a good one. Packs a lot of power and is tall too. Too bad no Argentina in the quarters.

Pretty much as I expected. Here is what I think will be the semi-final match-ups, barring any major upsets:
Brazil vs Netherlands
US vs Serbia.
Now what must the US do to beat Serbia a second time?

I like the way Serbia is playing, but Russia vs Serbia represents the most uncertain outcome. And USA vs either Russia or Serbia is a tough match-up.

Ugly American (who was not in the military) that doesn't realize this is how the rest of the world keeps time. 10:00 = 10:00 am 14:00 = 2:00 pm 18:00 = 6:00 pm 22:15 = 10:15 pm All times are local to Rio (1 HR ahead of EDT)
