man Karch sounds like a scientologist when talking to his team. Kind of weird. Yeah I agree, does anyone know? Maybe he is.

This is beyond disappointing. Adams can't put the ball down. Larson and Hill's passing is atrocious. Glass setting mediocre. Adams what is wrong with her? She can't even put a serve in. I am almost hoping that this team losses the bronze to Netherlands so the entire squad (including the coaches) will be revamped. Ooooooh, gauntlet thrown.

Volleyball is a team sport, one or two players can make a difference but still its a team sport. Just watched the second set and what did the Dutch coach do, he subbed out his number 1 setter and number 1 outside hitter with other players, so you can't tell me one player on the USA team makes such a difference. Every team has backups, it just seems that Karch didn't figure on injuries.

She did try to play through it, at the start of G2. She could not. Any training staff would put her through protocols, and keep her out until medical scans or post-swelling eval is performed later that night or the next day. Failure to do that is probably unethical. 2 days is maybe enough to verify that it's only a moderate injury (if it is). 20 minutes isn't. Were you at the match, in the stadium, courtside, watching her staff non-stop instead of the action? Or are you commenting based on the snippets of stream coverage, which showed only her upper half supine? (N.B. the stream coverage does not suffice to disprove that Akinradewo with her shoes off is secretly a mermaid) I rewatched the match. Foluke was still moving well.... putting down balls... and blocking balls after her injury. Then she was pulled. I didn't see anything noticeably difference in her play or performance. If they were truly concerned from the injury, it seems she would have been pulled right away. If they were truly concerned, why was she standing and dancing with her teammates in the bullpin? If she was dancing with the reserves then obviously they were not "concerned" of the severity of her injury. Very strange.

Choke artists. We truly need someone with a killer instinct who also has the gift to put the ball away. Lowe will get there. We need Dixon back. Better libero. Better setter. As I just typed that, Glass sets a double. She sets too low and it's not the system that is the reason. This team...sigh.

It was beyond strange..... especially considering how dominant she was in the first set.

Watching and reading this I'm worried that VT comments might be telepathically communicated direct to Team USA's brains. Is that a Scientology thing, feel my finger?

I wish Foluke was a septuplet and they were all volleyball girls with her athleticsim. 3 of which had world class ball control.

Did they just say Adams was hitting the 2nd best percentage in Rio or did I miss hear that? I think they said .471.
