Two consecutive Olympic Games that the Gold medal winner is the 4th team in the pool.
And beating them in the pool play isn't an assurance at all. Ask USA, ask Serbia.
I feel sad for Maja Ognjenovic. She was beaten up by Zhu Ting, one hit on her fingers, another on her face. But she was clearly the MVP on the Serbian side. Is this the end of Ognjenovic era for Serbia?
Rasic killed Team USA in the 5th set with an ace. Well, she killed her own team with a huge service fault in the 4th set with what was a momentum shift for Serbia.
Mihajlovic just didn't showed up for this match. Well scouted by China. Girl just can put the ball down.

Mihajlovic just didn't showed up for this match. Well scouted by China. Girl just can put the ball down. I missed the first set and a half, but she showed up big time at service line thereafter. |

Man, I can't imagine how good China will be 4 years from now.
A silver in World Champs, a gold medal in Olympics. All achieving these with a bunch of teenagers. lol
