Boy is that misleading because of the unbalanced schedule so far.

I didn't mean them! More like UW ahead of MN, OSU and Purdue so low (although Purdue could have won 3 more). And Iowa a bit unproven, or something.

Boy is that misleading because of the unbalanced schedule so far. Dunno about that. Made only two changes, swapping Minn for PSU and flipping OSU and Iowa order. Wouldn't be insane to envision this year end finish:
Nebraska Minnesota Wisconsin Michigan Penn State Illinois Michigan State Ohio State Iowa Purdue Indiana Maryland Northwestern Rutgers

I know, hard to believe RED and PSU are on top -- completely out of line with historical performance Nebraska has one (2011) big ten title. . . . and three 2nd place finishes out of 5 years. Top 2 four out of five years. Yeah hard to believe Nebraska's at the top of the league.

And one other stat to consider: Number of remaining matches against current B1G top ten teams (MN, NU,, WI, PSU): Minnesota - 3 Nebraska - 3 Penn State - 4 We've seen this weekend, as we've seen all season, that almost any B1G team can get a win (ala Michigan v PSU) if you don't bring it every night, but it's quite clear that Penn State has the toughest road left of the remaining B1G contenders.

Texas will be 2. Whether they should be or not, they will be 2. Probably, but Minnesota is the toughest team Nebraska has played (all respect to tOSU who beat them, but the Huskers avenged that without much trouble) and deserve that ranking. Nebraska is 2 points from having 3 big ten losses Just another stat that shows how great this conference is.

Nebraska has one (2011) big ten title. . . . and three 2nd place finishes out of 5 years. Top 2 four out of five years. Yeah hard to believe Nebraska's at the top of the league. I didn't even specifically mention Nebraska being out of whack and you jump all of it as if that's what I meant. Here's the plain English: Nebraska has played two top dogs which they beat, but upset at home by OSU. Dominating the rest of the competition. PSU has played just one top dog, at home, won in 5. Minnesota has played three top dogs, destroyed 1. It has also been on the road for a month. All losses in 5 sets on the road. Ohio State has played nearly all top dogs, beat one. Defeated Michigan too, a key win. Iowa has beaten the bottom of the schedule. Purdue (?) category of its own. Illinois probably best represents balanced competition. Wisconsin has not played Penn State; destroyed by Minnesota (at home) and Nebraska (on the road). Several 5 set victories, especially relative to Nebraska/Minnesota victories over the same schools. Indiana, Northwestern, Maryland, Rutgers playing as expected. Michigan, Michigan State have some key wins. There, feel better? Does it make you feel even better if I say that Nebraska's schedule and results so far is the most indicative of their level of play? And that the Badgers are higher than Minnesota merely because of scheduling (they have not played MSU or PSU), but don't really belong there, especially because their losses to the top teams were not competitive at all.

Well the fans don't put out the rankings, so take it up with the coaches's poll. These are the same coaches that put teams in one spot at the beginning of the year, and don't significantly move them throughout the year unless they totally bomb. They also don't put out the predicted Big Ten rankings in the pre-season.
Strangely, it's your table that aptly proves my point, yet you took my simple initial comment as an insult to Nebraska for some reason.

Strangely, it's your table that aptly proves my point, yet you took my simple initial comment as an insult to Nebraska for some reason. The table is a convenient way to compare the remaining conference schedules of the teams that I consider to be the best in the conference, and I never regarded your comment as insulting toward Nebraska or PSU, because there was never any doubt in my mind that they deserve to be at the top.
