Good for Purdue cracking into the Top 10! Very interested this week in seeing if they can make mincemeat of Illinois or if they'll stumble a little coming off such a strong OOC.

I'm curious on how Kansas State snuck in to the top 25.

I think with Cuttino's continued development on the outside bodes well for Purdue's future. They're a solid top 10 team in my opinion.

I'm curious on how Kansas State snuck in to the top 25. They were 25 last week after beating Creighton, who had been ranked. This week they moved up one place by default when Santa Clara dropped out; so the only real movement they had from last week to this week was moving above Oregon by 1 place rather than below them by 1 place. Maybe that was partially because Oregon had this weekend off?

I am surprised Texas A&M is still ranked to be honest. They don't have any strong wins. And I am surprised Hawaii is ranked that high.

I know that TAMU has played a rather tough schedule; but I'm surprised they're ranked this highly still. Typically when you ACTUALLY lose every time you're expected to lose, I don't know if you have a case for yourself. A top 25 team would find a way to win even 1 out of 5 matches against 'better' teams.
Meanwhile, TCU beats a ranked opponent in UNC; UNC drops only four places in the poll, is still thought of as top 15, yet the same voters who kept UNC in the top 15 only give TCU a total of 2 points.
TCU: Number of matches against a ranked opponent: 2. Number of times TCU won: 1. TAMU: Number of matches against a ranked opponent: 5. Number of times TAMU won: 0.
To me, this would suggest that TCU should be AT LEAST on par with TAMU; but instead they're very far behind. TCU is punished for not playing a tough enough schedule I suppose; but does TAMU's tough schedule really matter if they can't get a win against any of their ranked opponents?

Hawaii was out three starters to begin the season. They finally got starter #2 back this weekend. Greeley only plays back row, but once her shoulder recovers- the final piece to Hawaii will be set. Hawaii is almost healthy and with more attacking options now. Can't wait to see the improvement and line-up adjustments when done.

I'm curious on how Kansas State snuck in to the top 25. Kansas State is now #20 in the Pablo rating - so it is certainly not unreasonable for them to be ranked in the top 25.
This is unrelated RPI stuff - Kansas State has positioned themselves very well for getting a seed. They are probably by far the team most likely to get a seed that no one is thinking about.
Kansas State has some pretty huge matches this week, so we could learn much more pretty quickly...

It's not a bad vote. I wouldn't have FSU that high and I'd rank Marquette, but otherwise they have a good argument for the right 25 teams at least.
I do think Illinois is at least on a par with the Michigans and the Pac12 may be under-represented. Wash State and Utah, for two.
