NBC is supposed to breakdown the schedule later this week, but who knows if they'll actually do it. NBC did this for the games in Salt Lake, but if I remember correctly the TV schedule was nothing like they announced ahead of time because many events went over or under time.

I was just checking the schedule I downloaded from USAToday and it doesn't look like the match will be shown live.
The broadcast will be with NBC somewhere between noon and 6PM EST.
If the match is at 9:30PM Athens time (at least that's what is shown on the FIVB site), then that would be 2:30PM EST (my time zone).
The NBC schedule only shows the Women's Synchro Gold Medal FInal Live. Think it's suffice to assume the matches will be interspersed all over with everything else. We'd be lucky if the whole match is shown.
Don't those morons know how important this USA-China Preliminary match is? Argh!!

USA volleyball has done a terrible job in marketing volleyball. Heads should role.

This match is part of a bunch of other stuff, all on NBC, not one of their other channels.
Soccer, for instance, will be on CNBC Saturday.
In short, I wouldn't expect to see much of the match, ESPECIALLY if they can show a gymnast picking his nose instead.
The list for that time block:
Women's Beach Volleyball – Holly McPeak/Elaine Youngs (USA) vs. Kathrine Maaseide/Susanne Glesnes Gymnastics – Men’s Competition Volleyball - USA Women vs. China Swimming Diving – Women’s Synchronized Springboard Gold Medal Final (LIVE)

How can there be a 'final' on the first day of competition!? It's synchronized diving! The better question is, How the heck can there be a Synchronized Diving event in the Olympics? Take all of those "judged" sports and toss 'em all. That's what I say.

The better question is, How the heck can there be a Synchronized Diving event in the Olympics? It's a sport. It was tried out at the 2000 Olympics. The fans loved it. That's how it can be an Olympic sport. Was that ball in? Was that a lift? Did she touch the net?

It's a sport. It was tried out at the 2000 Olympics. The fans loved it. That's how it can be an Olympic sport. So I suppose painting will be next? Fans love that, too. Or maybe a Pop Song competition? Pure sophistry and you know it. One has to do refereeing. The other has to do with aesthetics. But if you want to believe there is no difference between Rhythmic Gymnastics and Volleyball, carry on! What's that motto again? Faster, stronger, higher, prettier? Or something like that...
