Thanks everyone for all the updates on transfers, have a lot to update and will be able to when I can. This isn't a transfer but Hannah Juley - Soph. Setter is now listed as a student assistant at UCSB That kid has moved around quite a bit hasn't she? No. Was at Wisconsin for her redshirt freshman season in 2015. Transferred to UCSB at semester and started at setter in 2016. This appears to be a retirement.

That kid has moved around quite a bit hasn't she? Perhaps you have her mixed up with her sister Erin, who went from LBSU to Wisconsin? Which, again, was a single transfer. Erin went to Wisconsin after LBSU made it clear that she didn't have a future playing there. She played for one season and then medically retired. Her little sister Hannah's freshman year would have been Erin's redshirt senior year. Hannah redshirted her freshman year, then transferred to UCSB. If somehow you're combining the two in your head, you might think that she went from Long Beach to Wisconsin to UCSB, and that would seem like a lot.

the Juley's have seemingly been jinxed
both sisters have fought injury issues through-out their careers, which is unfortunate
not good timing for SB either

NOT confusing the two..clearly know the difference...Erin is just a great kid whose body just broke down...great attitude, work ethic and personality...

Are we sure transfers are down significantly? By how many? I think the one thing is that we've seen a lot of major coaching changes NOT lead to transfers (Stanford/Oregon/Illinois/Louisville/both Virginias). Usually power 5 coaching changes would shuffle the roster more. Will be interesting to see. A clear drop, for P5 schools, could give an indication of how many were previously being pushed out. Still, coaches have considerable power to put the screws to someone reluctant to transfer. So far, P5 transfers out/roster-drops: Arizona State 8 [Pepperdine 7 (all roster drops)] Ole Miss 4 Tennessee 4 (all roster drops) Nebraska 3 Penn State 3 Oklahoma 3 Stanford 3 (all roster drops) Utah 2

Force outs seem to be way way down But, after re-reading the new P5 rule, if the student athlete signed in Nov 2014 it would not apply. It went into effect in Jan 2015. I would think 95% of the rising Jr class signed in Nov 2014. However, AD's may be forcing the early adoption to include this class. But the one year force outs should be way down for this rising soph class. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.
