I don't believe any of the "she's fine" stories. I think she is still injured and will not be 100% for the Olympics. I do however, think they will still win the gold. But I would expect a few months off after the Olympics in recuperating time will be necessary. They're on TV right now against a team from Japan and from what I've seen of May, she looks fine. She's had a couple of kills with authority and at least 1 block and a hard lunge for the ball. No cringe or whatever shown at all! She looks 100%! Go Walsh and May!

You might want to tape the match because after the 1st set and right after a swim heat, there's a nice little feature on Chevrolet's Olympic Moments with Walsh and May. ;D

There is always a conflict when a company wants to outfit the Olympic team and each sports have their offical supplier for uniforms and it get even more complicated when pro sports are sponsored/endorsed by another company. This was a huge problem when the NBA players started to compete in the Olympics. Have we forgotten that MICHAEL JORDAN didn't want to wear the Reebok warm-up suit or uniform(if I'm wrong go ahead and correct me)? Holly wears outfits by Speedo and Elaine is endorses Jantzen but they can't wear them...I bet they would if they wanted to, but it just looks better when the teams are all wearing the same brand and after these games are over they can go back to wearing whatever they are paid to wear. Adidas is the apparel sponsor of USOC which probably explains the warm-ups - i guess all of Team USA(s) would have to use them. I guess they're allowing them to play with their usualy uniforums. quote]

I just have to believe what she is telling everyone, but since we all are entitled to our opinions I feel she is a little bit healthy than how she was a couple of months ago. Basically I'm skeptical, but I do want her and WALSH to win. I really do. We all want to see the American teams on the podium at the end of the beach volleyball competition. Getting back to May's injury...I have talked to trainers and chiropractors and they feel that an abdominal strain takes quite awhile to recover and doesn't heal up like in a month. May and Walsh's first match, no disrepect to Team Japan, but this team really didn't push them so it was an easy match. Kusuhara and Tokuno didn't look awful but it didn't help that they kept setting each other so tight to the net that WALSH and sometimes even MAY were right there to roof them. They didn't even bother to hit off WALSH(or May's) block but instead kept hitting into the block. May/Walsh look good and I hope they keep playing that way. Good luck. So how many people think Misty is truly 100%, and how many think she is posturing? I hope she doesn't reinjure herself.
