Way to go Kerry and Misty. Heard the results on the radio early this morning(they played 9 PM Greece time which is 11 AM PDT) and now wondering if I should see how they won tonight during the prime-time tape broadcast. Most likely I will since I want to see the exciting finish in the women's gymnastic team finals(I already know who won) - listened to '84 gymnastic men's team member PETER VIDMAR describing the action on the radio(Westwood One). It was close between the Romanians and the Americans. Anyway back to volleyball, I'll watch Kerri and Misty's match. Walsh and May win in 2: 21-11, 21-13.

Watched them during primetime. They skipped all of game 1, only aired the match from 8-6 Walsh/May up in the 2nd game. They looked very good, May looks 100% healthy.

Thanks GatorVball. Now I know what to expect. I can see why NBC showed only the second game. The score for the first game seem very one-sided like their first match against the Japanese and the guys at NBC want to at least air a match that will be competive and keep the attention of the viewers. By the way good luck to your Gators. (anyone will be watching "The Amazing Race"? - my friends and I tried out for that show and didn't even get a call back, oh well) Watched them during primetime. They skipped all of game 1, only aired the match from 8-6 Walsh/May up in the 2nd game. They looked very good, May looks 100% healthy.

They are again in primetime tonight, they just started showing the match on the East coast, in the middle of game 2.

The only reason May and Walsh win so much is because their are no quality young doubles teams on the women's side. The only reasonable competition for them are the two other US women who are nearly 40. Big lanky women don't move well in two on two with such open space on sand. Hell big women don't even move well on regular floors.

Their match is scheduled for primetime. It usually has led off the night, so I wouldn't expect that to change tonight.

I may be crazy, but it didn't look like May had a lot of emotional energy tonight. They're still just too good, though. I think the Brazilians are the only ones that can beat them.

They got emotional at the end there, when they fell behind. That seemed to wake them up.

They beat the Canadians: 21-19, 21-14 for a spot in the semifinals against McPeak/Youngs.
The other semifinals will have Adriana Behar/Shelda Bede versus the winner of Australia-Italy.
