9:30pm Athens time, so 2:30 live on the East Coast.

Cuba will beat them in a one sided contest and the USA women will go back to reading, cooking and cleaning. There's Too much confidence and athleticism for thE U.S. to handle CUBA at this point. For those that acknowledge women's sports it will be depressing. For the rest of us at least the USA women give us men a good laugh when they play

OK. An optimistic take. The USA has really made a habit, in recent years, of starting off really well in tournament pool play and then taking it on the chin in the crossovers.
Now, I'm more of a glass-is-half-empty (and cracked (and what's that floating in the water?)) type of guy, but it's a thought.
Again, NBC loves this type of stuff. If they start winning now, as the underpuppy, it'll certainly put the spotlight on them.
Bad news, of course, is that Cuba can't take the match off. They want to go 4-1 for the favorable crossover.

Germany swept DR. That means DR won 3 games in the entire pool play. And we all know against whom...

When I checked nbcolympics.com earlier today, the match telecast was marked "LIVE". Well, lo and behold (and am I surprised by this?) it's not marked that way now. This is just getting ridiculous! While I'm glad of the hundreds of hours of broadcast that NBC and their affiliates have put up, this flip-flopping has just been utterly crap! AARRGGHHH!!!

Yep, now it is showing from 4-6pm on the east coast instead of 2pm. I really hope we get at least 90 minutes of that slot...

For one, International v-ball gets no media play what so ever. I think the US could defeat China 25-0 in all 3 sets and still not make it to TV. It's far beyond ridiculous.
