Well, hopefully the games will run for you. I saw that there were issues listed for RRT3 being compatible with modern computers. Did fire up RRT2 and was all giddy when I saw the intro screen running. Ran a new scenario, the Heartland...my favorite, and played for a little while. Have to remember all the keyboard controls. :) I always was amused by the late expansion scenarios like driving trains around Antarctica.

Another first...bought two expansion packs for Fallout 4 from the Playstation store. The workshop and vault expansion packs...mainly because I want to build the concrete wall around my settlement for protection. Damn Super-Mutants and Raiders stole my power suit!
Realize purchasing games from Steam and the Playstation Store can be dangerous to my wallet.

But buying digitally is so much more convenient, and I say that as someone who doesn't have to deal with customs. I still buy console games physically if there is a pretty big difference in price (my gaming laptop doesn't even have an optical drive), but I buy games digitally as much as possible.

Crazy how things change. 🤣 Actually it’s a combination of playing the game some more plus seeing the potential of the game on the Internet that changed my mind.

I went to cancel my free trial with GameFly, which allowed me to play The Last of Us Part II and Miles Morales for free, but they roped me into another month by offering it at half off ($7.99 instead of $15.99). I decided to get the Resident Evil 2 Remake, which had good reviews, and I'm still not sure what I think the best game of 2019 was (for me, it was Red Dead Redemption II, but that game was released in 2018, even if I didn't play it until a year later).
I'm honestly pretty bored with this game. It's a survival horror zombie game, but I just don't really know what it's bringing to the table that I can't get better elsewhere. If I want to play a zombie game for the story, I'll play The Last of Us. If I want to play a zombie game for the atmosphere, I'll play System Shock 2. The gameplay isn't anything special either. In fact, I think I'd still take System Shock 2 over it on that front, despite it being 20 years older. Actually, now that I think of it, if I want to play a zombie game for its gameplay, I'll play the Island of Dr. Ned DLC in Borderlands or Undead Nightmare in Red Dead Redemption.
I have a few more days left on this month (I put off playing this because I was so wrapped up in Ghost of Tsushima), but I think I'm going to just send it back and then cancel. I suppose if GameFly wants to offer another month for even cheaper than the last, maybe I'll renew, but I doubt it. The search for a truly great 2019 game continues. I was going to buy Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night when it was on sale, but it jumped back to full price earlier than normal.

I'm very close to the end of Ghost of Tsushima. There's still a dozen or so enemy camps to clear out, but I'll probably do that after I beat the main story. I have completed all the side quests, and the ones that concluded the longer questlines with my allies were quite good. One of my allies had a questline that revolved around revenge (her family was wiped out at the beginning of the game), and I think it was better-written than TLOU2's main plot.

HZD: I've pretty much hit the final "can't turn back" main questlines for both the main game and the expansion. At this point I'm thinking I'll get the cauldrons I haven't done yet, the one tallneck I haven't done yet, and then go into the final parts of the quests. I may finish the expansion first. Not sure.
There are a few side quests I haven't done because they couldn't be triggered yet.

had a good session last night. trying to buy everything that is available from the first vendor. learning what i can do, learning what i can't do, learning what i might be able to do in the future.
there is very little with respect to a tutorial. the player learns by doing (and dying)
