How's FAMU going to be this year? Were they senior heavy or anything last year?

How's FAMU going to be this year? Were they senior heavy or anything last year? They're gonna be good. They return just about everyone, if I recall correctly, but Jayli Jackson, their senior middle blocker, is currently academically ineligible. She won't be with the team this weekend. They've got a really good setter in Portacarrero and two other solid weapons, OH Kostadinova and MB Ruiz.

She won't be with the team this weekend. They've got a really good setter in Portacarrero and two other solid weapons, OH Kostadinova and MB Ruiz. That team would so be helped by getting out of the MEAC. Unfortunately, its not just up to the volleyball team.

Maggie Griffin had 44 assists, 3 blocks (2-1), 3 kills, and 10 digs in her debut. MSU hit a lot of balls out down the line, but at least they were going for the tougher hits. Kim Schram had 18 kills.
MSU's passing looked much, much better than last year, allowing only one ace. The team's blocking game seems to have picked up as well (13.5 total blocks, four players with two solo blocks).

Looks like FAMU swept St. Johns, 30-13, 30-13, 30-26, hitting .462 for the match. Impressive, no matter the opponent, esp. in match 1 for the season.

MSU is playing St. John's right now. They seem to be testing other players, starting a different OPP, L2, M2 than they used last night.
Here's the audio

Good win for MSU. I was surprised FAMU got swept by Ohio as well.
