UCSB wins game 1 30-27
As far as I could see in the live stats, I was very unimpressed with UCSB's play. Our offense was non-existent in the first 3rd of the game and we were behind by as much aS 7 early on. We caught them at 16 and went ahead at 18. We looked to have the game finished up 28-22 and then let them back in to 27-29 before one of their many gifts to us, this one a service error, finished the game. Not very impressive.

Last play: For UCSB: Garbisch, Jamie; Johansen, Bethany; Bell, Mari; Blackshire, Megan; Sandell, Janine Live stats is really useful. Above is a sample from game 2. The text also keeps crediting blocks and kills which don't seem to show up in the stats.

Livestats is cool...
It's a simple strategy, really if the information is being put into a computer to be fed out over the web. I wish more schools would take itup.

That's better. UCSB wins game 2 30-20. Most important, our hitting % went from .156 in game 1 to .464.

21-11 in game 3, I think. It keeps changing back and forth. I think there's a problem with my browser.

Looks like Meghan's getting most of our kills.

UCSB wins game 3 30-18. We only hit just over .200 in game 3 but at least part of that was sending in the subs. (We were up 24-12 at one point.) SD St. ahd the most interesting stat. Exactly .000 hitting for the match.10-10 first game, 7-7 2nd game, 11-11 3rd game.
Good game by Waldowski, Blackshire and frosh Johansen. Average for Sandell and Hendrickson. Poor for Nelson who had the match high 7 digs, but almost all of them came in game 3, she was virtually absent stats-wise in games 1 and 2.

21-11 in game 3, I think. It keeps changing back and forth. I think there's a problem with my browser. Not your browser, the game stats themselves. I don't know whether the person typing is having problems or the host computer, but only about one in five messages had any meaning.

yeah, it seemed to stabilize a little later. My browser is having other problems though. I don't think javascript is very stable in this particular version of Mozilla, or something's broken. Not important enough for me to care too much though.
Hopefully the theam will play a little more solid tomorrow. Did you notice how long it took them to finish when they had match point? I think SD St scored 3 or 4 before we could put them away. Seems to be a recurring problem.
