Nebraska swept Notre Dame, 30-19, 30-28, 30-24. Stalls has 7 kills on 17 swings, hit .235 with 7 blocks. Pavan had 16 kills on 42 swings, hit .214 with 3 blocks. Elmer was the most productive Husker, 11 kills, hit .562 with 4 blocks. Saleaumua 10 kills, hit .162. Busboom ran the offense for NU, 35 assists. No 6-2? Notre Dame hit negative in games 1 and 3, NU hit .000 in game 3. Doesn't appear it was a well played match.

Doesn't appear it was a well played match. Huskers.com has a pay site this year that for $80/year, you can watch every game home and away and the quality is pretty darn good for web based video. Passing really fell apart at times but mostly it was (surprisingly enough) the L that had the most problem. They had to hide her on serve receive at times. That ain't the way it's supposed to work. Pavan was really great at times but didn't handle it too well when the sets were bad and they were bad sometime because he setter was really pulled out of position on several occasions. What really has impressed me is how well she plays defense. For a TALL girl, she can get low to the ground pretty fast and passes serve receive very well. Busboom otherwise did a farily decent job. She had a couple of really great saves that were turned into points to show a good part of the reason she is starting. Stalls did some good stuff too. I guess I expected more but it wasn't bad either. Elmer was Elmer and did a very nice job in the front and I thought her defense had improved quite a bit from last year. I thought she had more digs tonight that most of last season. The defense seemed to be giving Jen the line and she was just missing it on several attacks. Guess that's why they were giving it to her. Not a great night for either team but for the first match of the season, not too bad either.

That's cool they are providing video for all their games. Florida is providing video for 7 home matches, for 25 bucks total or 6 bucks for each individual match. I've seen the video for softball and basketball and it was quite good as well.

If Jen played OH1, who was OH2--Mancuso or Houghtelling? Did both Houghtelling and Mancuso play this game or just one of them? I wonder how Cook will go about determining who is better suited for the position this season. It sounds like it's still very competitive for the starting spot.

I was reluctant to shell out the bucks to start with but being able to see even the away games at this quality was definitely worth it. John Baylor does the broadcast for radio and that provides the audio to go along with the video.

If Jen played OH1, who was OH2--Mancuso or Houghtelling? Or did they share time? Mancuso was in almost the whole match. Houghtelling was in for a very short time, had a hitting error and got pulled. Ally Rebholz got in towards the end of game three and got one kill on 4 swings and added a dig or two.

If Florida did it for away games, I would def. pay the money to see them. We get them on tv 6 times, 4 of them are away matches, so that's good, but not enough.

These 2 teams are going at it again. Pavan is really struggling, 5 kills, 6 errors. Houghtelling, Saleaumua, Elmer and Stalls are all playing well, hitting very high numbers. NU won game 1, 30-23, ND takes game 2, 30-26.

Good job, Notre Dame. Win 1 more game: a big upset and lots of hope for other teams.
