Congrats PSU. Will be interesting to see how the rematch will go with a healthy (!?) Lutz.

Plummer with 27 kills hitting .440, and Lee has 11 kills hitting .128....and we win in 4. Never would have believed that. Hopefully it gives the team confidence, but it doesn't mean anything. Round 2 next week, and if Lutz is back...just sayin...

PSU wins 3-1. They were lucky to catch Stanford without Lutz playing.

What's up with Fitz's low numbers ? Is it cause she's running more slides (where she's weaker on IMO)

What's interesting is Plummer played so well on the right, her natural position, you almost hate to move her back to the left.

What's up with Fitz's low numbers ? Is it cause she's running more slides (where she's weaker on IMO) Never seemed like she and Gray connected. And several swings were weak and easily dug. It was apparent Gray wasn't comfortable setting anyone but Plummer. She did get some better sets to the outside later in the match but neither outside has much power. So blocked or dug. Keefe had several kills off speed and well placed balls later in the match. She doesn't have of a power game.

Unfortunately Plummer ended up in the back row at the end. Gray did set her several times back row in a couple of longer rallies but Penn State made the digs and won points. And they were serving Plummer relentlessly after McClure was pushed out of serve receive. Kudos to Plummer for keeping them in it as long as she did.

Fitz had 25 attempts - that's plenty. They need to figure that out. She was better last year.

It has multiple moving pieces. It'll be fun next week for sure. That was not good volleyball for either team in set 4. Gotta focus on TAMU. W is shortlived
