You must be joking not to be including Schwan, who is better than a lot of those players on that list despite not having the dominant year she had last year. The coaches know her from seeing their teams play against her. She's not going to go from POY to not even on the all-PAC team. However, I am starting to come to terms with the apparent fact that the way the UW plays as a team and distributes the ball around is going to continually keep them underestimated on these lists. Somehow, apparently by magic, the UW keeps winning or being right up at the top of the conference and getting high into the NCAA tournament and yet they never seem to have many of the all-PAC players. It's annoying.

It's annoying. Schwan wouldn't have been on it based on the first half of conference play. I think Scambray, Dehoog, and Schwan will probably make the All Pac 1st team. Hard to imagine neither Fitzmorris or Alade (or both) not making the 1st team either. I really hope Okaro might sneak onto it, she did everything she could for the Devils this year.

There is only one PAC-12 all-conference team. (Not "first team".) There are also "honorable mentions". I'm not sure whether anyone who gets any votes is "honorable mention" or whether there is some other cutoff for that.

UW players will be a hard group to assess given the constant state of flux. Dehoog and Scambray for sure. Sanders for all frosh team. It wouldn't surprise me if this was it.

What's really weird is that all 3 of UW's all-P 12 selections from last year — Schwan, Jones, and Tanner — are either down this year and/or were hampered by injury.I'd say Dehoog is an absolute lock and Scambray is a very likely due to her serving and passing/digging.

UCLA will probably have 2 on the all conference list. One of them should be Sponcil. I know Gates Probably will not get the other spot but she certainly deserved it based on the conference only stats,
Gates is third in hitting percentage and she has the most number of kills among the 10 players in that list. She is a middle with a kill per game of 2.99 which is an outside hitter stat. She will be a future all american! the committee will probably give it to Sponcil and you know who

Go back to 2015, when Washington also won the conference (tied with USC), and there were two UW players compared to three USC players and four Stanford players.

If I were a UW fan, I would trade some of those individual honors for a more dignified showing against Nebraska.
