I would've wanted Ford to play for Hawaii but ASU has a good campus. A former classmate of mine in grad school attended ASU for undergrad and he raved about the campus, the student center, all the amenities and such. Generally speaking, you really can't go wrong with the PAC and B1G schools, not to mention the SEC, ACC, and BIG XII conferences. Yes, but it is so stinking hot right about now. The underground undergraduate library was my favorite place this time of year, so nice and cool. (98 today btw). I hope she doesn't have to take summer school classes because then it really gets fun.

I am pretty sure that Arizona State holds virtually all their classes in air-conditioned rooms. I could be wrong about this, but I don't think so.

I got sun-burnt in early MARCH watching a baseball game, it can be lethal being outdoors. Some people need their blankies; in Tempe you need your AC. I got more colds from ACs in Tempe than in any place I ever lived.

Wow seems like players have no Joy playing for Long Beach, how many players have left the program since the New coach was hired? Six players have left the program, for various reasons, since the 2017 season. Transfers: 6'2 Ashley Anselmo to NMSU; 6'2 Ashley Murray to Florida St. "No Longer on Roster": 5'7 Brooke Earkman, 5'9 MaryJo McBride. "Foreign Player, returning Home": 6'2 Radi Marinova to Bulgaria. Finally, 6'2 Anete Brinke(Riga, Latvia)starting OH from the 2014, undefeated, Big West Championship team, graduated last year and decided to forego her final year of eligibility. I'm not sure one can conclude that player dissatisfaction, with the head coach, is the cause for these departures. Anselmo was playing with a heavy knee brace this spring and did not look like the Ashley Anselmo we remember. Not sure how her diminished ability translates to a negative statement on the staff.

Regarding the LB transfers well, Joy is a product of Gimmillar who didn’t exactly develop the program with “positive” coaching at the core. Joy and the Mizuno LB program, like her mentor’s program, is more the “old school”, heavily rule oriented, coaches and players are on different levels, speak when spoken to type mentality. I think players disassociate with this style of coaching and gravity more towards the “player’s coaches” mutual respect type approaches.
Joy’s junior program although still elite, does not produce the number of championships as it did in past years. It no longer has “building championship teams” at its core, but rather managing club politics.
Just an observation I’ve noticed over the last 10 years.

You have it so wrong about Joy's program I have to think you made this all up. The program is run totally different and does not resemble Brian's in anyway. The only thing that is the same is pregame warmups and the high socks. Training, coaching, motivational methods, etc are completely different.

Joy seemed like a totally different person in the matches I saw the beach Play. Sure she seemed fustrated at times, but never angry like Brian. I truly don't wish anything bad upon the beach as they are one of the historical volleyball programs and I hope Joy and lead them to a successful season, still losing to Hawaii twice though

Not sure how her diminished ability translates to a negative statement on the staff. these are all no big deal. Anselmo got injured on her first collegiate kill attempt, really bad luck. Murray....bye bye....addition by subtraction....too bad this didn't happen by labor day last year. Brinke was chronically injured in indoor & Beach... hardly a surprise for her to forego her last year. None of these are big surprises. hopefully Anselmo thrives in New Mexico.

Ayanna Swan, OH at Ohio State, has left their program. No word on where she’ll land (or if she’ll continue her collegiate career). This hasn’t been announced officially.
